Oh, I would have loved to see Bay give us an Op in 2007 that turned into a yellow muscle car. Fandom would have exploded.

I notice that Ginrai has snuck into the club without an invitation.

His name is Optimus Prime. He's a truck driver from Japan.

I must need new glasses as no matter how hard I look, I just cannot find Action Master Optimus Prime amongst this wonderful collection. It must be there somewhere Shirley.

He may not have one, rather than omitting it. This looks to be a fairly young collection, with most of it being toys released in the last ten years.

First reaction: Nice but actually a bit dull Second reaction: Why don't I have a Cybertron Optimus?

First reaction: Nice but actually a bit dull It does kind of blur into a bit of a wall of red-and-grey. You weren't buying larger toys when Galaxy Force was a thing? Karl

The correct answer is: Cybertron Optimis Prime is poo!

It took a decade for there to be a better Optimus than Cybertron, and even then that's debatable.

It took a decade for there to be a better Optimus than Cybertron, and even then that's debatable. Absolutely with you there - Galaxy Force Convoy was the best, possibly second only to the original. What do you consider to be the one that might have bettered it? I am personally undecided.

One of our number has a controversial and frequently aired opinion on Cybertron Prime.
As far as I'm concerned the toy is right up there.

Ah I see it's already been aired: The correct answer is: Cybertron Optimis Prime is poo! -Ralph Ralph is about the only person who holds this opinion and is oh so VERY WRONG! Rich, I've got one and a Windblade & Leobreaker to combine with it, and some adaptors to let him use CW limbs. Show you when next over but it is superb

So like, I don't even know off hand.

Favourite Optimuses: 1984, RiD, Cybetron
Very fond of Powermaster Optimus, G2 Hero, Armada Supercon and Combiner Wars but they're not in the same league as those three. All have major plus points and offer something. I would especially love to see the Powermaster get the missing link treatment or a decent Generations upgrade
I know the G2 Laser Rod is very popular and packed with features but it doesn't quite click with me. Didn't like the long nosed cab, the restricted arm and the lack of anywhere to stand a Spychanger

For me the last properly good Optimus Prime was the Power of the Primes one - just because it does something different and interesting, even if it doesn't necessarily do it *well*. Although with the Reprolabels on it it looks brilliant. I've got a soft spot for Studio Series Bumblebee Movie Optimus, but most of the rest are just slight incremental changes (and not always good ones) on a base idea.

I stayed away from buy Optimuses for the longest time. I got the Henkei '07 one which is really good, and skipped through to the Netflix Earthrise, which is competent.
I've since backtracked into the Titans Return versions, which are fun, but there's a reason that the Optimii were low on my aquire list. (I still don't have the original colour version of the Powermaster.)
