Found THE INFINITY GAUNTLET. At that size and in HC format it is a beast of a tome!
I now quest for a second copy for M of this parish.

Flyer inside stating the "limited three issue run has now come to an end and we will be looking at the level of interest before making a decision about whether the collection will be launched nationally in the near future". Awww. I never saw the first issue!
I would be surprised if it doesn't go to full launch as the oversized format is very distinctive and the production on the two I got screams quality and it would make sense to pump this out in 2018 when the next Avengers film is due.
A refund is offered on issues purchased so far or a free gift. Hmmm. I don't have receipts. I wonder if a photo of the books would count? Nice to offer though.
Infinity Gauntlet in this format is very, very, very nice. There is a production error in issue 1 where the two page 'GOD' spread has the edge of the left hand page repeated at the start of the right hand page which I presume was to lesson the loss of art in the gutter that trades usually have on double spreads. The nature of the image (rocks and stars) means it doesn't really stick out much other than the edge of the stone D obviously being repeated though I hope it is fixed for the full run. Rest of the book is fine.

Pretty sure that is the Moon. At least, according to Robert A. Heinlien. :-)

Finished. Not bad. Must've read the last few pages effort somewhere.
Anyone know if this partworks is going to full production?

We usually only find out if the series appears in shops!
I reckon if it goes ahead launching it around the time of the 2018 Avengers movie would make sense.
Not all partwork trials make it to series. I think it was a year ago now I sae the Spider-Man trial run round these parts.

Finished. Not bad. Must've read the last few pages effort somewhere. Captain America's slow and defiant walk up to Thanos is one of the great moments in Marvel comics. It's only a few panels but it really sticks in the memory. -Ralph

It's a classic.
I also love how Warlock is such a manipulative creature once back away from the paradise of Soul World. All that happiness and he reverts to type.
The fallibility of Starlin's character's shine through, I love what he and Marz did with the Silver Surfer with regards to his guilt in relation to the millions he helped Galactus kill.

Keep an eye out. With INFINITY WAR hitting cinemas it would make sense for this to launch anytime now...especially as issue 2 of the launch was The Infinity Gauntlet!!! They'll never be a better time!

We'd start seeing adverts first, they are pretty agressive with their marketing in the first few weeks.

Passing on this one although the larger sized volumes sound good. Interesting that the subscribe page is still active after six months, expect it will launch properly soon then.

The link is now diverting back to the hachette homepage, so I guess the test is over.
Expect it'll go for an August launch like the 2000 AD one (someone else said that already I'm sure)

Not all tests go to full series. I saw the Spidey test issues over a year ago but no sign of a full series.

The Avengers one felt a bit ambitious to me. Bigger/more expensive format and Hachette already have a Marvel comic partwork on the go that would have printed some of the obvious content. They tested quite a few comic ones simultaneously didn't they? Maybe it was just survival of the fittest and Batman won?
