Well as you'll all prob know I've been having mass Beast Wars battles across my lounge carpet once Piglet's gone to bed! Magmatron and Tripredacus have been fighting a Predacon civil war, with a small group of Maximals caught in the middle. Then, Shockaract (Rampage) appeared with the Predacon Transmetals and joined forces with Tripredacus! Outnumbered, Magmatron approached the small entrenched group of Maximals that have been caught in the middle, asking for an alliance! Optimus Primal refussed, as his group have been augmented by the arrival of the Maximal Transmetals lead by ULTRA MAXIMAL (Ultra Magnus aka TigerHawk!). With Magmatron in hiding, Optimus took Owl Prowl's advice and took the fight to the Predacons. Tripredacus and Shockaract's forces were soundly beaten and fled. It was at this point that who should appear? MEGATRON! With the defeated Predacons at a low ebb, he beat both Shockaract AND Tripredacus in battle to claim overlordship of the Predacons. And now that Megtron has Magmatron also on side (as his second-in-command much to Shockaract and Tripredacus's disgust), we're poised for another all out battle with the Maximals! It's good being inside my head!
I've also got my 6 Inchers out and have been having a good ol' fiddle with them 'cosa the recent arrival of War Within Optimus and impending Titanium Prowlness. So firm in my hand....

Does getting Vector Prime, Big Convoy and WingSabre down to dust them count? Otherwise the answer will likely have to be Classics Skywarp, who is the most recent one I have had off the shelves for a fidget with.

Stockade and Legends Bonecrusher, as they were my latest purchases. King Exkizer and Dragon Kizer have been getting a fair chunk of my non-studying attention lately, too.

Well - yesterday I was busy creatign the next chapter of my photo-comic....
Masterpiece Skywarp was a prisoner of human scientists being held in Macross City inboard the SDF 1, and Masterpiece Starscream decided to try and rescue his comrade. He an airial battle with about a dozen 1/48 VF-1Js and then duked it out with another dozen Revoltech VF-1Js with Strike and Super Parts until finally being beaten back when a 1/48 VF-1S in full armor showed up and launched a zillion missiles at him.
But Masterpiece Skywarp text messaged to say "thanks for remembering me, old pal!"

Currently I am playing with G1 Encore Ratchet! He and TFC Steeljaw were the stars of the latest chapter of my photo-comic; along with a fellow who has horns coming out of his cheeks! On that note - I must say I am a big fan of the Ratchet/Ironhide G1 Mould. I always liked it, and G1 Ratchet was my very first Transformer toy that my mum bought me when I was a wee 4 or 5 year old tot It's magnificently poseable, alien and ingenious all at once! dyrl

On to Titaniums now. (I'm not going to do any lame six inch gags, think we've exhausted those) Man oh Man they display well! Prowl, Skywarp and Grimlock are going to really finish off that little collection. Although I'd love a Shockwave and Jazz, but can't have everything!
Did I mention the mini KO Strike Planes I purchoosled off a chap on @the Moon? They're G1 KOs, Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker. They're prob twice as tall as World's smallest, and they're damn good KOs! I made a little Strike Plane display. Looked nice. Looked very very nice.

Hmm...today I pulled out Masterpiece Starscream and stuck him next to a VF-1S all dressed up in GBP to get a size-comparrison photo... It was kind of silly, because although Starscream is dwarfed by the VF-1S, the relationship should really be the other way around since MP3 is 1/60 and VF-1S is 1/48... if the 1S was a 1/60, he'd be appropriately smaller than Starscream Yesterday I sold a Takara Reissue BW Megatron to some little kid, and the tot prompted me to get out my BW Reborn Megatron for a bit of comparison:) Other than that, I also fiddled round with my SOC Getter Robo, creating various different robots - some of which I'm really proud of - particularly my 'Getter Frankenstein')... dyrl

Energon Cliffjumper. He came out of the loft to go in an eBay lot with Jetfire and Ironhide, but I rediscovered my love for hime and he's been kept. In fact Roadbuster Wild has been summoned to combine with him !

First the Autobots and Decepticons teamed up against the Maximals and Predacons. Then the Autobots teamed up with the Maximals! I AM NINE!

Oh it is indeed him - he's just been upgraded with Super configuration boosters and stuff. I've had Classics Starscream, Skywarp and Ramjet down this evening. It is making me wish I had a decent set of stands for them so I could get them posed in some decent flying positions. Starscream and Skywarp especiakky would look great posed in a mirror-break low over the shelf edge. Karl

two things:
1. I can bloody well tell you which Transformer I'd LIKE to be playing with right now! The whole assortment of Wave 1 from Transformers: Animated which is sitting around tempting the hell out of me! But, as Frank and Elvira told Tony in the movie Scarface: "Don't get high on your own supply!" So I'm resisting opening any until a lot of them sell out...
2. That said - if you can consider it "playing with" - I have been "playing with" Music Label Soundwave all day. When I'm typing theater reviews, Soundwave is by my side blasting Ai Oboeteimatsuka or Shao Pailon. While mowing the grass, Soundwave is there with me, blasting away Totsugeki Love Heart and Submarine Street. I can't believe how wonderful Music Label Soundwave is. It's completely not due to any special merit on his part; but just the fact that I love music and used to make a habit of listening to a discman whether on the buss, in the bath, on a walk, in the metro - whatever - and now I listen to Soundwave.
However- I predict that in 5 years the vintage market will be FLOODED with used MP3 Soundwaves that are majorly scratched up from constant usage by folks like me. Normally I would never think of putting a Transformer through this much wear and tear - not that I bang him about but eventually I fear he might begin exhibiting signs of wear...

The other night while Mrs Shockprowl was putting Piglet to bed I had one of the largest battles eeeevvvveeerrrrr!!!
My Beast Wars Maximals and Predacons had joined forces to fight...
...UNICRON!!!!!
They kept ol' Uni (I'll never forget when I ordered him years ago from Argos on their automated line, the 'voice' on the phone said: "Transformers Armada: Unicorn!" how I laughted!) off-ballance for a bit, but slowly but surely he took 'em out. Really good 'cos I had the smaller Beasties climbing up him! Just as the battle looked over for the Beasties, the Classics Autobots and Decepticons (and my G1ick figs from A/E/C) turned up to lend a hand! Think I had some 40 figs in play in total!
Unicron was repulsed... for now!
I AM NINE!
(PS. I'm sorry to say the Unicorn didn't make it.)
