The Shockprowl house has seen several confrontations between my new 25th aniv Action Force (GI Joe) figs and my MP/Alts. Great, great fun.
Piglet's new dolls house is looking very tempting for inclusion in my battles...

Last night Hubcap and Generation 2 Hubcap were occupying the same space and time on my desk.
My Spongebob Squarepants desk set was rent asunder!

I used to own one many, many years ago, but the walking mechanism stopped working after a while. So be careful. The motor would still work but it made a grating, clicking, ratcheting sound as if the gears had come loose.
I did wonder about getting an Encore version but I'm worried about the same thing happening.

Animated Prime's articulation is fantastic! (DVD Battle Pack version.) He's been doing Matrix style slow-motion leaps with his axe in both(!) hands over his head. That and playing guitar with it.
I'm really impressed with Animated. I have some quibbles (Voyager too small, especially Cybertron Mode Megatron compared with the Deluxe; Starscream's Automorph leaves him with too little actual manual transforming to do, whilst Bulkhead's is rather unecessary; Voyager Cybertron's gun is too big and doesn't have a very good connection to the arm; Megatron's Cybertron Mode (both classes) has a high Whatisit Factor) but generally it's a really good looking range and the level of articulation is phenomenal.

Crosshairs is being a total prick and bossing the Micromaster Race Car Patrol around, who have become his slaves. He has even chased Skullgrin from the coffee table, whom had previously ruled it for the last month on a campaign of terror.

I have to finally get my Voyager Bulkhead to fight my Revoltech Danbord...
but - today, the following were played with:
Heinland, Animated Prowl (I call him PENUMBRA!), Scuba and Mach Kick all discussed the spacio-temporal consequences of Beast Wars III while standing behind MP Starscream and MP Skywarp suspended in the air.
Megatron's cannon was also involved in the fun.

Uh oh!
Today was "pack up" day - after about a month and a half of getting to be played with, Masterpiece Megatron, Starscream and Skywarp all went back into their boxes and onto a shelf, where they will likely rest up for a couple months.
Meanwhile, the G1 TFC and Encore Transformers are already shaking with excitement in their boxes, since I told them they'd be let out soon and become my new playmates.
But first - the Beast Wars II and Neo cast - enjoying their last night of freedom - must also head back to their boxes, as their play time has also expired.
And a final note:
Masterpiece seems to be tailor made for...Beast Wars.
I really really like the proportions of MP to BW - it's just as it should be, and this is why my Masterpiece TFs always play in the Beast Wars Universe - the fact that there are so few Masterpieces also helps - they are huge, awe inspiring relics of an era of giant robots - just as they were in the Beast Wars show.

Today was the "moaning" Transformers day - and no, not in that sense you naughty reader!...
In the sens that, as mentioned above, today I packed up several BW II and Neo characters back to their boxes after a good month and a half of being out of the box and continuosly played with.
Naturally - I am usually inclined to leave A FEW of these guys out of the box for further play - the "A List" so to speak...
And of course - everyone wants to be on it.
"Pick me! Pick me!" they all say. "Don't put me back in the box! I'm interesting!" they say...
Alas.
Tigatron and Heinland have thus far earned a reprieve and will remain out of the box - mainly because Heinland, having assasinated Magmatron for breaking 'Time Travel bans' is reaked by guilt, since he does a lot of time travel himself anyways - thus - great character development ark potential and he gets to remain out of the box to develop that interesting side story.
Tigatron, on the other hand, has the good luck of having bee a C-list character throughout the last month and a half of play time - he basically had maybe two lines in my playtime Beast Wars III and made a very brief appearance at the beginning, only to...be nowhere to be seen throughout the remainder of the time.
This gives him the benefit of being able to argue "hey - I'm interesting and highly under-used!" I agreed with him. He will remain in play - hopefully something interesting will happen to him.
The only other two who might possibly not journey back to their boxes are BW reissue Takara Megatron and Convoy. But, BW Reborn Takara Megatron and Convoy WILL return to their boxes; as they will no longer be required to stand in for their smaller counter parts in scenes NOT featuring large G1 Tansformers.
The other Beast Warriors all think it's unfair that they too can't stay - but thems the breaks.
Meanwhile, the Transformers Animated toys are going "neener neener neener! We have no box - so even if he WANTED to put us away he CAN'T!"
the mean buggers.

Re-issue Blaster is currently roaming the livingroom, with his best pal Goldbug perched on his left shoulder and AM Blaster perched on his right shoulder. Together, they battle evil and eat pizzas.

Yesterday, MP3 Soundwave, G1 Ravage and the Cyber-Beast Force gave the smack down to Predaking after MP Megatron's funeral.
Today, BW Megatron and Convoy had a little quarrel; and then Kup, Hotrod, Perceptor, and Blitzwing went spelunkining into a Crypt only to awaken Gaia!

Leader Animated Megatron! The voice clip laughter is great (2nd only to reissue Galvatron).
ps I wasn't sure I'd like the Animated toys, I was intending to only get Prime/Megs and focus my efforts on Classics2.0. But now I've got a few I'm really enjoying them and I'm destined to spend more...

Yesterday, Ravage explained to Big Moth, Landliger, Landjaguar and Eaglehawk that humans are warlike by nature; then he conferred along with Laserbeak and Buzzsaw with Soundwave about what to do next. The whole lot of them landed in a desert, ready to do bad things.
Bumblebee was watching them and reported back to Autobase, where Red Alert, Ironhide and Prowl decided to continue observations.
Getter 1, however, would have none of if and told the Autobots to defeat the invaders and protect Earth NOW.
Prowl told Getter 1 to talk to Star Saber about it.
Then everybody went to bed.

Yesterday, Animated Ratchet confronted BW Neo Heinland about his drinking problem.
Ratchet was tipped off by Mach kick that Heinland drinks while on Chronological Guard duty... so Ratchet decided to discreetly intervene and ascertain the whys and wherefores behind the Tanuki's drinking problem.
Heinland transported them via space bridge to Earth, to the exact spot where he'd recently assasinated Magmatron at the behest of the Robotmaster Council.
Heinland explained that he was wrenched by guilt. Magmatron had been assasinated because of time traveling illegally; but - as Heinland points out - Megatron is a Robotmaster who also time traveled illegally yet he got amnesty so that a peace deal could be reached between all sides...
Heinland is bitter about the hypocracy and feels like he was used in order to get rid of a potential competitor of Megatron's. Ratchet tries to calm him, but Heinland (who is drunk the whole time) decides he's going to right wrongs and travel back in time to undo his deed.
Sadly, because he had been binge drinking Sake, he inadvertantly opens a space-time portal and free Animated Starscream from Limbo where he'd been trapped after a "space bridge mishap."
Animated was so happy about being freed that he said that as thanks, he wouldn't kill Ratchet and Heinland. But he shot Heinland in the face for mouthing off and flew off laughing when Ratchet didn't react because "he's a pacifist."
Thus ended a sad dark play time full of booze and murder.
