I can confirm the 7-day Now TV with Cinema Boost free trial is indeed free and can be used to watch ZSJL. I did so and then my partner watched Terminator 6 on it. I then promptly cancelled the service and have been charged £0.00. So ZSJL can be legally watched for nowt!
I am still shocked that ZSJL was actually enjoyable (I have never previously liked a Synder film). Even the previously baffling decision to make it in the square 4:3 ratio makes sense in context.

Just gotta remember to cancel!
I watched Man of Steel this weekend, BvSDoJUE is next before I crack on with JLtSC.
That's almost 10 hours of Snyder.
Will I survive?
MoS frustrates me as there are some amazing moments, but they don't make up for the dumb ones nor the dubbed on coughing. Also, the fight scene sfx really have aged badly.
BvSDoJUE IS GREAT. So looking forward to that again... MARTHAAAAAAAA!!!

Ok. So... Generally this is a huge improvement, but it definitely would have benefitted from being split into two films. One pre-resurrection and another post. So with two films, don't introduce Darkseid and War World until film two, to up the stakes upon the realisation that Steppenwolfe was just a minion.
Yay, the conversation between Lois and Martha was removed!
Boo, the assault on Striker Island felt a bit rushed. It missed the "save one" conversation between Flash and Batman that seemed to work well as an experienced hero passes on their wisdom to an inexperienced one.
Yay, more detail on the weird dream sequences from Bvs:DoJ!
Boo, Aquaman seemed pretty redundant.
Yay, Jon Jonzzzzzz has been in the Snyder verse since Man of Steel!
Boo, use of time travel to undo stuff. Did we learn nothing from Donner?
Yay, black suit Superman.
Boo, no mullet and no "to kill a mockingbird".
Yay, Steppenwolf's plastic armour is gone.
Boo, Steppenwolf's CGI armour looked terrible. All in all, it's amazing how different some of these scenes feel with just a different soundtrack and slightly different cut, just look at the Wonder Woman London scene for example. Other random thoughts- And they did Steppenwolf a favour by killing him. His punishment on War World would have been way more severe.
Is it me or did Desaad look like i-r0k from Ready Player One?

More Corridor Crew SFX nonsense on Justice League.

So it came out on DVD/Bluray, and this is the most pretentious superhero movie I have ever seen. It's unintentionally hilarious. Aquaman tells Bruce to get lost and walks into the ocean. Then a bunch of women sing mournfully while one smells his coat in close up. For at least a full minute. WTF? "This film is presented in 4:9 ratio to preserve the integrity of the Director's vision." Who the hell "envisions" an over-the-top lotr wannabe four hour epic in the same ratio as standard definition televisions, in the year 2020? Not even television uses that ratio anymore! Iris is flying to her death, and Barry stares at her like a creep for two minutes while a love song plays, before actually helping her. Oh my god. The Flash scenes would be way more effective if every single action scene (and some non-action scenes) wasn't in slowmo. This is the worst superhero movie I've ever seen. And I'm only half way through it. I was looking for a place to stop because I couldn't take it anymore, and needed a day to recover. Then it stopped on it's own. "Justice continues on Disk 2" We haven't even gotten to Superman yet. I am so glad this era of DC terribleness is over.

Why are you watching this rubbish when you could be watching The Suicide Squad (2021)?

I'm still not over the mournful singing of Aquaman telling Batman to eff off.
Like...I'd get it if he were heading off to a battle he thinks he'll die in. That has to be the pique. I can't see anything better coming in the second half.

I was looking for a place to stop because I couldn't take it anymore, and needed a day to recover. Then it stopped on it's own. "Justice continues on Disk 2" That's astounding. Is this the blu ray? I haven't seen a change disc message in a movie since VideoCDs were common. I watched the Snyder Cut when it appeared Sky Cinema a few months ago. It's definitely a long and tedious slog to watch. I had to split it over two nights as well. The Sky release displayed a title card each hour (white text on a black background) that informed you when it had reached Part 2,3 & 4 of the story. Are these present in the BR/DVD release as well? I can't imagine watching the Snyder Cut with TV commercials as well. I recall Film 4 added around 30 minutes of commercials when they broadcast the original 2017 release.

Yeah, the "Part X" title cards are present.
I can't believe it's broken up between two disks, either. The only other movie I have that's split like that is the extended edition DVD of one of the LotRs.

I finished it, and it's even more convoluted and confusing than The Last Knight. There was not a lot of good in the 2017 Justice League, but he stripped out every part of it that made it even remotely enjoyable. Someone above said Aquaman was redundant in this, and I find myself agreeing. He lost his purpose in this. Barry was the heart, but Arthur was the conscience in the 2017 version. Snyder took that away from him by removing most of his interactions. He and Barry were also ninety percent of the levity.
I did not hate the 2017 Justice League. I didn't particularly like it, but I didn't hate it. I think I actually hate this version. It's everything wrong with modern DC movies in one movie that's way too long.

Like I thought this would probably sorta fade over time, but it's actually become the movie's defining moment. At least for me, it is. I've forgotten almost everything in this movie that isn't shared with the Wheden cut, but this scene is clear as a bell. And I never hear this scene brought up in reviews or criticisms, and it's such a mind bogglingly weird world-breaking scene, too. The fact that it was filmed at all is out there enough, but that it survived being edited out? Bizarre.

It's been almost a year, and the mournful singing of Aquaman telling Batsy to eff off is all that remains in my memory of this film.
