*checks timestamp* One second early! To the phantom zone! Illegal week thread! Nope. I posted at 0:00 and took a screenshot to prove it. -Ralph

By Hub rules, the time stamp on your post is what determines the time it was posted, and the stamp on your post is 1595804399, which equates to 23:59:59.

If Phil wants my screenshot showing it was posted in good faith at 00:00, he merely has to ask.

To be serious for a moment, if a user posts when THEIR OWN DEVICE'S CLOCK shows 00:00 then there should be no argument.

We've done this before though. I could set my clock five minutes forward and claim to have posted on time and screenshot that - the only way to make it equally fair to everyone is to use the Hub's own clock. Then we're all using the same clock. Otherwise, anyone else posting has to guess the time on your device.

Can we not just trust that if someone says they posted at such time (going by THEIR OWN DEVICE CLOCK) that they're being honest? I'm getting genuinely fucked off now.
Also: I HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO FUCK AROUND WITH DEVICE CLOCKS.
AND I HAVE SAID BEFORE I HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA WHERE THE HUB CLOCK IS.
THE END.

I think a second is a tad mean. You've got to have some leeway for error, surely? I mean, I don't know what time it is when I post without looking at the PC taskbar.
If it was the last in a series of four early ones maybe, but this was a genuine attempt, as far as I can see?

DOCKOTOR!!!
What grounds have thee for this imagined slight?!
*I* started a week thread, AFTER midnight, gave a most PROFOUND and HONOURABLE name-
AND IT WAS OBLITERATED!!! OBLITERATED!!!
And chess week never was....

I don't doubt Ralph's attempt was to post dead on midnight; to accurately post one second before would be almost impossible using the clock on a separate device. I don't care when week threads start, I just pointed out in jest that regardless of the time on his phone, the server's timestamp on the post is 23:59:59 and as such it broke the hub rule. That's undeniable but it really isn't important; as this seems to be causing Ralph genuine upset it isn't worth worrying about.

What upsets my equilibrium is people saying good morning in the middle of the night. Morning is when the cockerel crows and the sun rises and the birds start singing! Morning is the time immediately after sleep! You can't say good morning before you say goodnight!

Morning is whenever Naomi's first feed after midnight occurs. I'm not having no double dealing Decepticon bird say otherwise!

I have installed a clock plugin, the time should be visible on every page.
I'll be interested to know if it's visible in the mobile version and what it says for non UK residents

I use quick reply, and the clock is at the top of the page. I lose it when I scroll down.
It's there on the ipad, too.
