Phil went to the trouble of writing a piece of xl decode the date stamps.
He has just discovered that if you hover over the "x minutes ago" bit at the top of the post it tells you the time!

Quite right. It's not secret. Every post has a time stamp on it, so therefore the forum must have a clock. It's just that in the clock's head it stores the time in seconds since 1/1/1970. When it shows you the time it converts that count of seconds into the actual date/time.

On mobile you can't use a cursor to highlight the date stamp. This may be where the confusion comes from.
That and he can't see things right in front of him.

Get the forum up on a pc. Drag your cursor over where it says "4 minutes ago" or "4 hours ago" and a small popup will appear telling you the time and date the post was posted.
Your last post was at 11:25:43 on Mon May 07.
And Phil was there, that's how he caught it and dealt with it.
