And also, no Windblade. Why the fuck not, Hasbro? She's got a major role in the cartoon! Oh yeah, the non-male slot has already been filled by Arcee. Two reasons to be unimpressed by this. May be that she's old news. I'm ten or so episodes into season three and I don't remember her appearing in this season at all. I really like the way the core cast becomes a right bunch of misfits. |

I really hope Meteorfire, Hammerbyte, Thunderhowl, and especially Wildwheel get used in whatever follows Cyberverse.
We finally get truly new characters and designs, and they get totally screwed because Cyberverse is getting shut down for the same reasons TFA did.

Nah, not old news at all - she becomes key in the very next episode or two. (It gets difficult to remember which episode is which when you binge them all, as we did.) Whatever the case, she's more a major character than Bumblebee... but he's the one that gets the subtitle credit later in the season. Ah well. But yes, the whole misfits thing I do like. Which does beg the question: Where's Deluxe Clobber? (I suspect the same place as Windblade...) |

That energon armor croc head is so stupid I love it.
I guess not only with four new character/designs rolled out at the end, a ton of stuff just coming out, and now new stuff still being revealed, that it proves that cyberverse's cancellation was an 11th hour deal, and not a long term plan.

I do have to say that the pandemic has just about killed my collecting of this line. I've never been fond of these open packages like this. They already psychologically felt dirty with any kid being able to put their possibly nasty hands all over them (and I worry about breakage too). But now they're just downright potentially deadly. The early part of Cyberverse didn't have much in this kind of packaging that interested me. But this year there's been a ton of things I'd get otherwise. |
