Siege might have worked better if it hadn't immediately been followed by Earthrise and Kingdom which redid large portions of the Siege cast in Earthmodes which rendered the nearly but not quite Earthmode of Siege redundant. Of the deluxe and larger mainline toys the following all have a subsequent Earthmode toy: WFC-S7 Sideswipe WFC-S9 Autobot Hound WFC-S21 Ironhide WFC-S23 Prowl WFC-S35 Red Alert WFC-S41 Barricade WFC-S43 Autobot Mirage WFC-S11 Optimus Prime WFC-S12 Megatron WFC-S24 Starscream WFC-S25 Soundwave WFC-S39 Thundercracker WFC-S13 Ultra Magnus The following Siege toys haven't had an Earthmode remake, mainly cos they didn't need one WFC-S8 Cog (Weaponizer) WFC-S10 Skytread WFC-S20 Chromia WFC-S22 Autobot Sixgun (Weaponizer) WFC-S36 Refraktor WFC-S37 Brunt (Weaponizer) WFC-S42 Autobot Impactor WFC-S48 Spinister WFC-S49 Crosshairs WFC-S38 Autobot Springer WFC-S50 Apeface (w/ Spasma) WFC-S14 Decepticon Shockwave WFC-S40 Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime WFC-S51 Astrotrain WFC-S28 Jetfire WFC-S29 Omega Supreme (w/ Autobot Countdown) The real annoying thing is the lack of the three Cybertron mode Autobots we do see Transform in MTMTE. The MTMTE jets, Soundwave and Laserbeak are all reasonably well represented by their Siege versions

The thing is you can see from the difference between the Siege Alt modes and what they've done with the Sunbow Bumblebee and Jazz that Siege was never supposed to be Sunbow-centric. Siege had to be close to Earthrise so they could reuse the moulds/engineering. We had to have Siege to make Earthrise economically viable.

I was going to say the same thing.
It was a weird line in many respects, but that was at least partly because it had to pave the way for what came next. I have a soft spot for it.
The weaponisers were mostly quite fun, I enjoyed augmenting other toys with them, and Brunt was a welcome addition for Trypticon.
The battle damage looked awful on some of them but great on others.
The Ironhide mould I thought was nice, and much superior to the Earth-mode version which followed. Possibly worn best by Crosshairs.
Omega Supreme was excellent, and I loved finally getting that version of Jetfire after all these years, even if the toy has its flaws.
Spinister was pretty great, Flywheels too, we got a proper Impactor at last (though would have to wait a few years for the right colours) and some nice exclusive homages to the Powerdashers. There were some pretty decent exclusives overall - Galactic Man Shockwave springs to mind, as does Tigertrack.
Speaking of which we got the now ubiquitous Sideswipe mould, which I haven't got tired of because it really is excellent in my view - quick and intuitive transformation and a very satisfying robot mode.
I can nitpick the line a bit, but overall I see it in a positive light. Power of the Primes before it was also a weird hotchpotch with not much of an identity. Both, of course, pale to insignificance before Titans Return...

My problem with this is that the ended up replacing so much of the vehicle modes that there was no reason they couldnt have made far more alien alt modes, if not subow then FOC/WFC or something new.

Thank you! I have no problem with the concept of 'reshelling' a cybertronian mode figure to make the earth mode. But if your alien car from 4 million years ago looks perfectly normal driving down the street on 2020 earth (hound, prowl, ironhide, optimus, sideswipe), and barely has and differences from the toys that "replaced" it, then you kinda failed really hard. They could have looked at the existing pilot episode cybertronian alt modes and gone "what would these guys look like if they had transformed, too?" And I don't think that's too much to ask.
