It's late and Phil has had an odd thought: what if the WFC Micromasters are reissues? I'm not sure I can see new ones doing any better for articulation, especially in light of Firedrive. So why not just reuse the originals? Well that thought was a bust. The Micromasters look suspiciously like just 2 in a pack. If they are then effectively the Legends size has gone back to it's Fall of Cybertron origins with 2 small TFs per pack. |

In theory im loving these, but the main figures all look a bit off. Prime looks a bit too much like the deluxe classic. Hound just looks awkward. Magnus looks ever so slightly off too. Sideswipe looks fine. Flak and other micromasters look amazing.

I think it's the posing. Each one of them are in the most awkward pose, that's not really flattering.
Optimus reminds me very little of Classics Optimus. Instead he strikes me as far more like MP10, than he originally did.

Better pic of Cog's parts:  As well as becoming weapons it looks like the pieces do become Gasket & Grommit www.tfu.info/1987/Autobot/Cog/cog.htmThe Silver shield is Gasket, split in two and folded out. I'm guessing Cog's arms go on him like they did on the original. The tracked legs and the pieces we can't see make up Grommit. |

Micromasters becoming weapons is interesting but Battle patrol do feel like minicons anyway - but is it line wide?

No, I think you're right about Swindler. I just think he's in a deep shadow. Edit: moreover, being a silvery color, I also think he's reflecting the blues around them, also aiding in him to look off color. |

It's much more obvious once you see the pic of them combined in gun mode..... but there Road Handler looks orange not red!So does Optimus for that matter! Mystery solved. Terrible lighting, and camera tricks. |

I think Chromia had the combiner tooled out. She doesn't have a peg hole for a fist in the front of her vehicle. And the overhead shot doesn't look like there's a combiner connector in her, either. |

Reminds me of New 52 DC when everything suddenly had to have seams. Is that silver distressing paint just the diorama builder getting carried away? I still have my Race Car Patrol & they are very popular with The Boy, will defo pick these up. |
