If I'm not mistaken, Soundwave is new (adds more into my theory about the theme being connected to Bumblebee). Springer is new too. Much as I enjoy the first Generations Springer, this one will probably be more G1. Best guess on the pterosaur thing: tfwiki.net/wiki/Screech_(Action_Master)tfwiki.net/wiki/GraphyNo clue on the other battlemaster. Also, as Lionizer is a thing, I wonder if they have plans for Rad? Edit: OH!!! They basically said to expect a hammer battlemaster for Ultra Magnus. Smashdown is a pretty solid name for a hammer transformer. |

I *really* hope these figures are good. I know I'm pretty much the only one salivating at the prospect of another round of '84 characters, but I just want a really good set of modern articulated figures for the originals that look like they go together. That's been building since CW started so it'd be great if Siege finished it off. At least for robot modes. I STAND WITH THEE!!! G1 FOREVAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! |

Stormcloud got a Universe release as a repaint of Powerglide, which makes sense when you realize powerglide is an A-10, and fellow Airstrike Patrol member Tailwind is also an A-10.

This all very yawn inducing, I must say. CW/TR/POTP felt to me like the natural end of designs that look bang on like the 80's toys. I had hoped for a new direction with Siege.
Or perhaps I have hit nostalgia overload.

Reflector/Refractor is a surprise! Do you need to buy three of the robots to do the camera? The gun is 1/3 of the leg, the shield is 1/3 of the lense, the middle of the camera is the outer bots backwards How big is it? Deluxe? |

Starscream is way more boring than it should be.
Megatron does exactly what the last megatron toy did, only without the extra jet mode. And somehow manages to feel less appealing than Toyworld's Hedgemon. They could have given him any alt mode they wanted, and they chose another tank.
Shockwave is exactly the voyager scaled Shockwave I've always wanted.
Soundwave is surprisingly thrilling to me.
Reflector is a surprise.
As with the autobots, they're over-sculpted, and the "weathered" tampos only hurt them.

Starscream- it's a made up altmode. There's no reason the robot mode parts have to hide entirely underneath it, instead of forming part of it. I'm absolutely SICK of Starscreams that do nothing but hide the robot under the jet.
And there's again, no reason the alt mode kibble on the robot needs to be fake. Because they could have designed it to look like any damned thing they want!
Megatron- They could have given him any alt-mode they wanted. Yet they go with another tank.
Soundwave- Love his alt mode. Much better than an outdated tape deck, or lamp post. And finally a robot mode that looks like him, and is in the appropriate scale.
Shockwave- Amazing. Exactly what I'd hope for.
Reflector- Love the satellite alt mode. Camera has zero interest to me. No interest in buying two more. Would be moreso if he were legends class.

I'm just going to get all excited about this for a moment before the realisation that these will be crushingly cheap and disappointing in hand sets in.
My word that Shockwave looks the business. If he isn't spot on voyager height without all the pointless armour I will cause trouble.

We had a G1 style Soundwave just two lines ago. The retool is out soon in the Bumblebee line! I just...I just don't see the point. I'm genuinely puzzled. There's also a G1 style Soundwave revealed at the same event for Cyberverse.
And not that long since the last 'G1' Megatron that turned into a tank.
A G1 style Shockwave would have excited me if I hadn't just bought a G1 style Shockwave in the concurrent Cyberverse line just last month.
These all look fine, but Generations is eating itself by this point, alas. It seems to have have given up on new, er, old characters with each iteration and is stuck in a loop.
These look like decent toys. I'm not annoyed or Internet Raging. I'm just left feeling...why?
*shoulder shrug*
A cheap line for me! So there are always positives. Also, I can go back up fill gaps in TR instead!
