Watching the video, John Warden discusses that three Reflectors (which are deluxes) can be joined together to make the camera.
That toy will be murder to find as all the collectors scramble to get three!

Needs to be packed heavily in multiple cases.
A Japanese order methinks to get individuals.

Now I see better pictures of it, the tetrajet mode for Starscream is amusingly tragic. It's like he is hiding under a pointy hermit crab shell.
Ah, once again Ravage remains a character where his first toy is still the best! He now has fine child bearing hips!
The dirt on Megatron makes the toy look a bit poo. All the scratching on Soundwave's chest plate makes it look like a junker G1 Soundwave toy!

Oh god that Starscream just looks worse and worse! They don't even bother to hide the faux F-18 kibble chest underneath the alt mode like the arms and legs. It's on the back of the vehicle!

We had a G1 style Soundwave just two lines ago. The retool is out soon in the Bumblebee line! I just...I just don't see the point. I'm genuinely puzzled. There's also a G1 style Soundwave revealed at the same event for Cyberverse. And not that long since the last 'G1' Megatron that turned into a tank. A G1 style Shockwave would have excited me if I hadn't just bought a G1 style Shockwave in the concurrent Cyberverse line just last month. These all look fine, but Generations is eating itself by this point, alas. It seems to have have given up on new, er, old characters with each iteration and is stuck in a loop. These look like decent toys. I'm not annoyed or Internet Raging. I'm just left feeling...why? I am definitely preferring the new items here: Micromasters, Battlemasters, Weaponisers, Shovkwave. The rest is just the same stuff again but without a decent gimmick to make me want thrm.

Battlemaster Ravage and Laserbeak... of course. Duh. That was obvious.
Sooo. Photos appear and immediately the awful hyperdetailing and battle damage smacks me in the face again. That come down was far quicker than I was expecting. The hyperdetailing is also so varied it just makes some of the figures look the wrong scale. Starscream reminds me of the cover of US #50. Like he's about a million feet tall but just has a very tiny toy version.
I wonder if the battle damage will come off with rubbing alcohol. The more I look at these the more I think they just aren't going to fit with the Prime Wars figures aesthetically.

Warden mutters something about working with someone (couldn't catch the name) about the case ratio for Reflector so we will see.
Right: cheap line for Burns. Micromasters, Battlemasters and Weaponisers please. Also the Flywheels perhaps. Everything else looks perfectly decent but I can get (or already have) those characters in those forms in the last three Generations lines (copies of which are still on the aftermarket) or in Cyberverse. As Phil said, there isn't a decent enough new gimmick to make me want them.
I could have been tempted by Reflector but the odds of finding three to make the full camera mode (which is the whole point of doing a nostalgia toy of it, surely)? Zero.

Add me to the list of people wondering who the Feck thought the hyper detailing and weathering were a good idea.
At least the weathering will either come off with some effort or the moulds will eventually get reused without it. Theres also the hope that the hand painting is really over highlighting the deatailing and weathering.
Underbase Starscream is the worst of the bunch by far. For the 12th or 13th year running I wonder why Hasbro can't/wont give us a straight forward G1 style voyager Starscream. Even without the detailing this one wouldnt be very good. I mean no part of the robot mode appears to be used in the tetras mode so who thought making him weirdly blocky and oddly proportioned was a good idea?
Uh, Ive just seen Soundwave a bad as Starscream.
On a more positive note, Flywheels looks amazing. Hound and Sideswipe aren't looking bad and Prime is really growing on me.

Im guessing Brunts mould will be the basis for Impactor. Which isnt bad, but Megatron would have been better if only Impactor were to be a voyager.

Brunt. Ha! That's just brilliant.

Right: cheap line for Burns. Micromasters, Battlemasters and Weaponisers please. Also the Flywheels perhaps. Not far off my feelings - Weaponisers, possibly Micromasters and Battlemasters. Probably Brunt for the fact that he is basically a bag of guns, and possibly Flywheels seeing as he has one good vehicle mode, a decent humanoid mode and Road Trap and Battleslash feel like their modally-challenged mate should be where they can lend him a hand. Almost all the rest are just decent new toys of folk I either own, or have owned until the last couple of years, with nothing new about them to make me really feel I want to spend the current price points on them. Even the Megatron, which has rather a nice looking tank mode is doing nothing for me. I much prefer the large Cyberverse Megatron, at least that has a different type of alt-mode. I say almost, because that Starscream is in no way decent. I had thought that they'd established a level of "eh" in Starscreams since around Combiner Wars... I figured that Starscream toys would be uninspiring and just kind of there henceforth. Then they made this, possibly the worst-looking Starscream toy I have ever seen. I guess it is kind of an achievement to make a toy quite this terrible, but an achievement of the wrong kind really. I'm not really feeling the Siege line at all. I feel like I am just bouncing of this, much as I am bouncing of Cyberverse. Karl

Yeah the hyper-detailing and shit-splash-effect look rubbish. But there's something about them that I like! G1ness WITHOUT gimmicks! Tetrajet mold isn't as good as I'd hoped. But the robot mode's ok and it's voyager sized! Megatron looks brilliant! Soundwave.... doesn't have lamp-post mode... Reflector!
....why does Shockwave have four fucking arms...?

The press event had 2 Decepticon Targetmasters present: one is obviously Blowpipe, who we've seen carded, the other is probably Aimless, given the shape of the dual gun barrels. The Air Strike Patrol are seen combined as a sword, wielded by Starscream. With Cog and Brunt revealed, and Sixgun appearing on Amazon lists, do we think Sixgun's guns will be able to be held by Metroplex.

It may be "popularity" that garners if one gets this treatment or not. Reflector, Brunt, and Flywheels may be important checklist characters to long term collectors like us, but there haven't been a lot of people clamoring for them, and even fewer newer collectors who know who they are.

Soundwave.... doesn't have lamp-post mode... Sure he does. All that "mode" is, is him standing up with his arms out to the side, slightly leaning forward. The original, MP, and TR Soundwaves also have this mode. I want my starcruiser soundwave! Siege Soundwave has an unofficial lampost mode. It's in the video upthread. -Ralph

Interesting stuff. Nice to see the Cons at last, and I quite like the way they've used the two different events to showcase the two factions.
Starscream initially looked amazing, but sadly I agree, the more pictures that come out, the less I'm interested. We'll see once they hit release I guess. Megatron feels a bit too familiar at this point with that tank mode, and I'm not a fan of Soundwave's alt-mode. Shockwave looks good, but the big draws for me are probably Flywheels and the target masters etc.
Reflector looks great, however I tend to agree that its going to depend a lot on how the figures are shipped. And while I was ok with the two legends class figures sold separately for Battletrap (although, really who'd buy them separately?), it feels a bit cheeky that we're going to need to hunt down 3 separate Deluxes. It feels like they're being too restricted by the fixed classes, when some figures could just do with being a special release on their own.

Not a dealbreaker but a shame the individual vehichles for Flywheels don't have robot modes when the Battletrap ones did.
Can't help but feel that Reflector should have been a box set of 3. It's designed that way!
I am amused that Soundwave is meant to turn into a 'hovercraft'.
