I'm still struggling to see this battle damage. Cog, Flywheels and Micromasters for me from this line thus far. *SHIT-SPLAT!*

Just going through these with a fine-toothed comb. Couple of pics kinda have Shockwave and Megatron in the same shot. They look the same size, but it's hard to tell. Shockwave's 'armour' is weird. I think the extra octopussy arms are freaking me out. And I know he's famous for his backpack, but the one his armour gives him is a doozey. I don't think he can form his spaceship mode without it all though. So, parts-forming going on there. I can live with it though! He looks awesome. And I know Megatron is another tank, but this one really does look the business. Robot mode looks spot on. Soundwave's space-brick mode is growing on me in leaps and bounds! It looks bonkers fun and the weathering on his lower legs looks like atmospheric entry damage! And as CJ said further up, one may be able to get away with just one Reflector and just have him in satalite mode. Boop boop boop boop boop...

Shockwave is shorter than Megatron again by my eyes. Still looks good though. Starscreqam is terrible, even by the standards of 'Jet on back, robot underneath'. Unless that's like two Starcreams, like the Reflector guys?
Flywheels is a must for me, and all the Micromasters. Not much else, really.

Is there any hope the Takara versions won't have the battle damage? Or have we already seen that they do? I can't remember.

I got the Legends Optimal Optimus yesterday, and even the packaging is nearly identical (though I think to european), with only the addition of some kanji.

I do like the Laserbeak - just like he was in that first cartoon episode! Its also nice to get Tetra Jets after so long. So will they do Wheeljack, Bumblebee & Jazz with episode one vehicle modes?

Finally catching up on all this news! Not feeling much excitement though.
Flywheels looks good (and is a proper Duocon!), as does Brunt. Maybe I'll pick up a couple of micromasters and targetmasters. But otherwise this line is still leaving me cold.

TRANSFORMERS SIEGE: THE RETURN OF SHIT-STORM. The first part in Hasbro's Shit-Storm trilogy. Soon to be followed by Shit-Storm: The End Approaches, and Shit-Storm: I'd Give It A Few Minutes.

Yeah, feels weird for the two price points to be so close together. Like Power of the Primes, I may hold off on Wave 1, in the hope of them hitting Smyths a bit cheaper. Although I am tempted to preorder Optimus.
It is nice to see the pricing has calmed down a lot. I've ended up missing a bunch of the PotP stuff I had my eye on, just as the online prices seemed so steep (especially once I had some of the figures in hand).

Nice Shockwave pics. He doesn't look as daft as I feared he would without his octopussy in spacegun mode. Can just about pass as a spaceshipgunthing. Riding his, err, One-Eye-ship, (no I can do better than that, Pussy-wagon, no no, Death-sled...?) he kinda looks Bayversish. Which is a bad thing, obviously. Spank my bottom I hope he's propper Voyager sized without his octopussy.
No sign of a secret hand-gun mode still?

Shockwave looks awesome. I may never have to buy a Shockwave ever again.
(And that makes me sad paradoxically).

1) All those make them look better than Hasbro's publicity renders
2) King Kong Primal is so gonna beat Shockbeam at the surf competition at Electrowave Point, this saturday. Right Gidget?
3) WHAT IS THAT GUN DINO THING?!?

Okay, I have a lot more interest now in Megatron, than I previously did. I might repurpose TR megs as Megaplex or Straxus Megatron or something (too fun a toy to get rid of).
I'm loving Shockwave even more. Really nice seeing the micromasters better, and hasbro never really showed off the autobot's gun mode. Really boss looking one, too (much more effective than the two cars doing naughty things). Feeling Hound, more too.

Megatron and Hound pull off the weathered look a lot better than the others do. The tampos placement on those two make a lot more sense and works in both modes.
Meanwhile on Optimus and Sideswipe, you end up with either these illogically immaculately clean areas (sideswipe's chest, in order to keep the car clean), or these impossibly dirty spots (optimus' shoulder folds into an otherwise very clean area of the truck).
I think I would prefer an inkwash, over these sorts of tampos.
