Siege wave one was marked for the end of december. They always do this, so add a couple months. If wave one says january, assume late november to early december. If wave two is a couple months later to the date they said (they said jan, so wave two is april), expect late april to early march. And don't forget it's almost january. EE say Feb www.entertainmentearth.com/s/?query1=siege+transformers&id=16-502018719BBTS preorders say february for wave two, also.

Just realized that even though there's a huge cavity vacated by the missing CW connector square, they chose to have Chromia's head just hang off the rear of the vehicle. That's just... beyond lazy.

Wave two definitely holds a lot more interest for me than wave one. Chromia's vehicle mode looks - sad to say - so much nicer than her PottoP sisters' do. Prowl is indeed a very sexy man, and I'm warming to that Ironhide. And Sixgun is even sexier than Prowl - if that's not too heretical a thing to say.
My only possible issue is a really minor one, and that's with Ravage's legs. He looks really nice, but the way they've proportioned him makes him look even more like a dog than he normall does. Which... is not right, given that he's a cat. Still, I'll be getting him and Visorbeak anyway - and I guess a Soundwave for them to use as a kennel.
Given wave one's not made much of an appearance here aside from Prime and Megs, and that's the one we'd normally expect to shelf warm, I should probably get on these pre-orders...

Everything wave 1 is out in Germany, finally spotted deluxes today in TRU while doing some last minute Xmas shopping. Nabbed Flywheels without hesitation, but the others look better in the plastic than I expected.

I do love the little Targetmasters. I just started thinking, since Titans Return, how many of the original 87 ones have been represented in some way, and what do we know we're getting from Siege. And thus, a Philstyle TM table was born: Name | Originally with | TR Head | Legends Targetmaster | Siege Battle Master | Haywire | Blurr | Hyperfire | Haywire (w/ Doublecross) | | Firebolt | Hot Rod | Firedrive | Firebolt (w/ Hot Rod) | Firedrive | Recoil | Kup | Flintlock | Recoil (w/ Kup) | | Pinpointer | Crosshairs | | Pointech (w/ Windblade) | | Peacemaker | Pointblank | | Peaceman (w/ Top Spin) | | Spoilsport | Sureshot | | Spoil (w/ Twin Twist) | | Nightstick | Cyclonus | | | | Fracas | Scourge | Fracas | | | Aimless | Misfire | Aimless | Aimless (w/ Misfire) | Aimless | Caliburst | Slugslinger | Caliburst | Caliburst (w/ Slugslinger) | Caliburst | Blowpipe | Triggerhappy | Blowpipe | Blowpipe (w/ Triggerhappy) | Blowpipe |

Anyway, I hope the battlemasters continue to give us targetmasters. I was hoping for an SDCC set of all the Takara Legends ones because I only ended up with a couple of them, but I'll settle for a set of battlemasters instead.

I don't particularly care if they give us all the targetmaster nebulons, because if they don't make the big bots that goes with them, I'd rather have more actionmaster partners, or new things like Pteraxadon. All that said, I'll be very angry if Fracas gets the boot to the autobot trio, again.

Is it worth adding a footnote that at least Nightstick has a Universe/Henkei version?

I thought about that but I was just thinking about uniform sets in terms of style. There's an Arms Micron Fracas too, but I wouldn't put those with the Legends or Battlemasters. Really I was wondering if the Battlemasters will eventually match the Legends equivalents in terms of releases.

I was surprised how cold I was on Cog in the plastic; I'd probably only buy him for the play pattern value. Sideswipe and Hound are not toys I'm going to pay anything like full retail for, but I'm more impressed now. Sideswipe is a clear improvement on the Universe version, and Hound is doing a different kind of thing to his (excellent) Universe counterpart. And in looking for a photo of Universe Sideswipe just now I discovered he was released over 10 years ago. Good grief.

That's like looking at an actual Sideswipe in 1994. Which feels like a lot bigger gap.
