Yes, and the transformation isn't quite the same. The Throttlebots' undercarriage is hinged at the front, so they basically transform by having the top half of the car stand up, while the bottom half remains on the ground. They remain standing on all four wheels in robot mode, and can pull-back-and-go in either mode. The Battlechargers' undercarriage is hinged at the back (edit: wrong, it's hinged in the middle), and relies on its springs to prop them up in robot mode. They have no wheels in their feet and only two wheels touching the ground in robot mode (edit: wrong). They are a bit like Weebles - push them in the chest and they return to an upright position - if the spring remains springy.

Before I owned any Transformers I owned a little blue transforming lorry with a pull-back-and-go motor on its back wheels that came off when you transformed it to robot mode, and then reattached behind its feet in robot mode to give it the same functionality as a Throttlebot - but with arms that weren't pinned to its sides. Dunno what the line was called.

Martin I'm sure Battlechargers do have fours wheels on the ground in robot mode too. They are drawn like Throttlebot wheels in the comics too. I like the Throttlebots cute little squashed robot modes. Wish they were drawn so in the comics.

You're right, I am mis-remembering. But they aren't quite like the Throttlebots: Martin

And this week I can actuall vote earlier than normal, 'cos it's really an easy one for me: Runabout. Because black cars are always cooler.

I've gone with Runamuck. He has the better name, orange and grey look good, and even though I approve of Decepticons who like to blow things up, admiring junkyards just edges it for me.

Runamuck is the correct choice.
Battlechargers = Throttlebot Elites or at least proto-Throttlebots.. surly. Just the 'wrong' allegiance.

Before they were Throttlebots...
Chase was... Runarace Freeway was... Runaway Goldbug was... Runalot Rollbar was... Runabit Searchlight was... Runaredlight Wideload was... Runaround
In my head, anyway.

No, the first four letters have to be 'Runa'.
Runarisk? Runabean?

Ooft. This is taxing the old grey cells. But I'm fairly sure that between us my brother and I had at least the blue version of that truck, and one version (maybe the red) of the jeep-thing. Hard to remember who owned what now, since lesser-importance toys such as these were played with by both of us.

Going to vote Runamuck on this one. I just prefer the grey colour scheme to the black colour scheme, for some reason silver-grey is the colour I remember most Volkswagen Sirocco's I saw as a kid being - so Runamuck has more "real world" relatability for me.

Also, the TF Wiki reckons Runamuck's a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. If that's true, then Runamuck's closer to Knight Rider than Runabout, despite the colour scheme. Martin

Black and red will always win out over white and orange! I had Runabout as a child as well, so nostalgia vote.
