Although according to the old EU (now Legends) that Rancor was still a juvenile - adults grow to be much larger. So that'll be in scale for... something else.

£330!!!! Scuttlebot had it £150. How is it more pricey than Victory Saber?

I realise the arm span on this is enormous, but the actual figure height feet to head doesn't seem very big. 17 inches? Three times the height of a standard figure.

I'm guessing a lot of the cost will be to pay for the additional four figures that are going to be revealed as tier bonuses. Galactus got four figures, so I'm sure that Rancor will get them also. I'm betting there'll be an "exclusive" Gamorrean Guard, the Rancor Keeper, Oola, and... maybe a special deco Luke?

Like Victory Saber, the Skystriker is well priced for this kind of thing and has...play features!!!
I am impressed.
I still don't understand why the Rancor costs so much in comparison. I just don't get it.

Maybe because the Rancor has many points of articulation, which is more costly to execute than a mostly-non-articulated vehicle? Maybe? I dunno.

It's also a licensed product so there will be additional costs to Hasbro there.

That's a fair point and explains why the Joe and TF items have had much lower pricepoints than the other Haslab stuff.

Based on Lego, Star Wars fees seem to be really high - the sets seem much more expensive than the Harry Potter ones.

Three big ticket Haslab items with closing dates just before Christmas and no payment plan options seems...ill advised. Especially when a 4th just funded in the last month. Perhaps Hasblowwwwww assumes no crossovers of fans?

Who knows. I would have seriously considered the Skystriker but not just after smacking down £180 for VS and with Chrimbo round the corner.

Kinda looking at these as an investment now, I want the thing at the moment, and if I change my mind, I know the value is only going up.

Rancor has been losing backers after they revealed the Tier 3 & 4 bonuses. They're going to need to rethink this one for it to fund.

Ooh, that's harsh. Although the bonuses have been odd to see. I was expecting a Luke, of course, but why doesn't this one come with a large bone? And a Gamorrean Guard too, for sure. But the other two should've been Oola and Malakili (aka The Rancor Keeper). Quite why they've provided an accessory to a different figure (Salacious Crumb for Jabba the Hutt) is a question. And if I was interested in backing this figure I don't know if that would've won me over.
On a related note, passing a charity shop in Battlefield on Saturday I saw an original Kenner Rancor in the window, and thought that that might be fun to pick up - and a lot cheaper. And it *is* cheaper, but not cheap enough for me at £65. This charity shop had clearly done their homework. And good for them. But it also makes the Haslab asking price seem not quite so bad...
