Had trouble getting off last night too, having trouble dropping off this afternoon, really would like to be match fit so I can be going out for dinner tonight!

Very frightening last night and today as a new and excruciating pain in a very worrying and distressing place has appeared which has stumped the NHS24 person I spoke to yesterday and GP today. Given some cream to try and have to monitor a certain area as there is a possibility of shingles. Or nerve damage. Or something unknown.
Absolutely shitting myself. I'm supposed to be back at work next week and now I might have something new wrong with me. At the end of my tether.
(No, I am not rhyming serious stuff)

Try not to worry about being back at work. If you have shingles etc there is not a lot that can be done about it now and you should concentrate your thoughts on successful treatment. You'll be signed of again if it is and frankly your work works you to the bone and then drags you through the dirt for good measure. They don't deserve your worry and are probably at the root of many of your health issues. Think of yourself now.

If it is shingles a rash will appear in the next 4-5 days. No sign of it as yet so I will know by Monday. If still got pain then I'll have to self-cert until I can get a GP appt. The magic cream is helping though wears off after a few hours. Moving about is currently a bit of an issue.

So....
Holding a conversation down the stairs with Liz, me sat at the top of stairs. Discover I can't get up so decide to crawl back to the bedroom. Get half way and run out of go. Fall asleep where I lay. Woken 30+? mins later and take another 15 to get up!
Not good.

Mrs M made me a birthday cake. I cracked a tooth open before I could eat any though! Followed all of my dentist's emergency instructions only to be told by a lady on the phone that their are no out of hours dentists in the whole of Manchester and that I should call my own dentist in the morning.
Not amused as filling is out and remains of tooth are very precarious in gum. Impossible to eat currently and very difficult to drink. Emergency lady recommends a "soft diet" and told me how to take pain killers.
Needed an out of hours dentist once in Edinburgh. Got seen at 10pm on New Years Eve. Quite a contrast in service.
This is why folk end up pitching up to A&E! Useless.
Meant to be heading off on Friday night to a wedding in London this weekend as well.

Caught back at work with some tasks quite tedious, So a walk home back racing against the next bus, Narrowly pipped at the post on the hill near Turnbull Towers, A nice chill night, clear skies and no showers, Home to take Susie for one last walk and then to give her bath, Towel dry her off to avoid falls if she starts shaking, Then to spoil her rotten with treats and meat Ahead of tomorrow's sad undertaking. Many tears are coming at the thought of food not being begged for,or unattended pizzas stolen, But the joy my wee dog has brought fills my heart with joy till it's swolen.

The magic cream from the GP works for a few hours then wears off so I keep having to apply it and am waking up at night with pain. Sometimes it works for up to 5 hours: sometimes less then an hour. No sign of a rash and this is day 6 of it so the underlying problem (whatever it is) clearly is still there. GP appointment to be made on Monday AM! Not being fobbed off this time (I am also running out of magic cream). It ain't shingles. I wish it was: then I would know what it is and also that it would go away within a certain period of time.
Ironically the previously big problem is now ok so I'm fine to go back to work if not for this new problem. So frustrating. I just can't catch a break.
Been trying to do a job app this evening but it's a staggeringly hard and lengthy form and I can't think of the answers.

I did. It's a live show version of Robot Wars, which for the last three years has gone under the name Robot Wars Live. This year it seems with the show ending the licensing has changed. It's basically a low budget version of the TV show, but has some of the screen teams competing. Yesterday there were three or four teams from the TV show using older or prototype robots. They had the proper Thor though.
