I distinctly remember getting Scrapper, putting the wings on him for the first time, and I stood up and proclaimed "There is a kid in the UK whom must never know of this!"
Needless to say my parents were very confused.

When the fuck did Devastator's chest plate become a fucking Super Wing?  You've got it backwards. It was Scrapper's Super Wing for all those kids who bought Scrapper as an individual toy, which only became Devastator's chest plate when you acquired the full set of Constructicons. Scrapper transforms into a leg. The chest plate attaches to Hook. So why does it come with the Scrapper toy? Because first and foremost it's his SUPER WING!!! One of the many ways in which the Constructicons are superior to the Special Teams is that there are no useless Devastator parts. They are all parts of the individual Constructicons' attack modes, which transform into parts of Devastator. Unlike, say, the Stunticons, whose big guns for the cars' attack modes have nowhere to go on Menasor, while Menasor's face, hands, feet and Y-fronts have nowhere to go in the Stunticons' attack vehicle modes.
