I knew this would happen if I said bap. Names for bread products causes confusion country wide.

I hate to learn a whole new dialect when I moved here. Tea towels are 'pot towels' apparently. Do they drink tea out of pots, use the towels to dry pots or smoke pot through the towels?

Who calls a roll a muffin? Bap I've heard, but it's wrong. We refer to something else as baps in Glasgow. Barm I've heard, as ridiculous as it is. A roll is a bread roll, an English muffin is a muffin, an American Muffin is a cake. A bap is a soft bread roll .... www.morrisqualitybakers.co.uk/goods/sliced-white-baps/....or a woman's breast

Yep, a bap is a boob. There was worse in store for a Canadian director I used to work for during his first visit to Glasgow when he told a girl to shift her fat fanny.

Dictionary definitions:
Roll = A small individual loaf of bread, properly one rolled or doubled over before baking (also bread roll).
Bap = A large soft bread roll.
Bun = A small soft round sweet bread or cake with currants etc.
Muffin = 1. Originally, a cake of any of various kinds of (especially sweet) bread. Now, a flat circular spongy bread roll made from yeast dough and eaten split, toasted, and buttered. In North America more fully English muffin. 2. A small domed spongy cake made with eggs and baking powder.
A muffin is also apparently a young woman, especially one who regularly partners a particular man at social occasions (Canadian slang).

Be of good cheer one and all! My network of spies has located a new source of white Snickers!
I'm unlikely to get a chance to venture out to obtain some until next week but the dream lives on.

White Lion Bars spotted in the market today. However, they were sat in direct sunlight and the stall looked a bit dodgy so I reluctantly passed on them.

Three pounds of white Snickers goodness!
My word. That's quite expensive compared to a standard Snickers multipack. The white must make it expensive.
