Indeed. I really like what they've done, with the G1 inspired Magnus robot giving way to the RiD alt form. More of that kind of thing could be really fun, if we're beholden to the fact that G1-inspired bots are selling better (presumably, since they keep going back to those designs). Seems a nice compromise to try and mix things up, although it'd still be nice to see a few more new designs sneak in to mix things up (unless that's where the other lines come in?).

There was a link somewhere to POTP box art t-shirts but I forget which thread they were in! Ralph needs them.

Not sure how I feel about the show this year. Hasbro showed off everything new at Breakfast, nothing new at the panel. Very little Cyberverse. WFC didn't 100% blow me away.
Biggest surprise was that BB Titans Return tape exclusive, very left field. And yet makes perfect sense.

Yes, somehow it wasn't very exciting. I don't know if that was because of the small number of figures revealed, of if because I just wanted more. But it definitely seems to be a trend of showing less at SDCC each year. Or does it just seem like that because Botcon and SDCC used to happen within the same, short space of time..?

It used to be that one of Botcon or SDCC used to be good.
Last couple of years NYCC has been better than SDCC. 2016 was good, lots of w3 TR. 2017 had bits and pieces from POTP but not enough to really figure out what was going on .... and then the big leak happened a few days later. 2015 iirc was virtually nothing after Combaticons & Sky Lynx at Botcon a few weeks before.
Would need to check before that!
Must remember the real action is at the preview breakfast for next year!

Bits of a line were, and just like last year it's odd bits. I'd rather they went back to bringing all the toys in a wave/case at the same time. We've seen some of w1 & 2 deluxe, but not all of w1.
I think there's also an element of the deluxes and Voyagers revealec for WFC not bringing much new to the table. They don't combine or have headmasters. Plus the popular Primemaster decoy shells and Legends have disappeared.

Oh absolutely but I think we are conflating two different things:
-amount of stuff revealed -personal opinions about the stuff revealed.
I'm not hugely taken with WFC:S thus far but do feel enough of the line was revealed to have some thoughts about it. In many ways, Hasbro can never win. Reveal too much and the fandom has less news for a while. Reveal it in bits and the fandom wants more. We are a fickle lot! Perhaps there is a balance to be found.

I think we have been spoiled with early reveals in years gone by and especially when the leaks last year spoiled a whole year's worth of toys just about! Hasbro definitely keeping a tighter reign and control on things from the looks of it now. Plus of this WFC reveals so far are patched together hand painted prototypes.. they may not have anything else to show in public yet.
