It certainly feels like it's five issues and done. Pretty much looks like every Go-Bots concept is being thrown into the mix. Unlike certain other revivals it doesn't feel like sequel baiting or an attempt to get a franchise going.
#1 felt a bit like the old Eagle comic strips but it's went in its own direction since.
I've seen this quote from Tom Scioli being mentioned in various forums. I'd love to see Optimus Prime visit the Gobot ghetto in a future TF comic.
At this point, Go-Bots has been successful enough that even if I'm not going to work on a follow-up any time soon, I'm sure you'll see Go-Bots popping up somewhere else. After me and John did Transformers Vs. G.I.Joe, it wasn't too long after that that they started Transformers and G.I.Joe and Rom and Microns... They started having more of those crossovers in the mainstream IDW universe, so I wouldn't be surprised if something similar to that happens where, okay, you saw the Go-Bots in their own off-beat standalone comic series and now we're going to introduce a version of the Go-Bots that are part of the cohesive Hasbro universe.
Read the final issue this morning. It’s a pity the series hasn’t generated more discussion. It’s been a real highlight each month for me. It’s retro presentation and just the wild, wild ride of the story have been great fun.
