Well, the answer as far as the comic was concerned was that Perceptor and Blaster were their leaders.

Yeah, okay. In terms of non-specific questions I suppose you can have that. Perceptor then.

My Godfathers. I have the non-head removable head-master POTPoop Perceptor- yet I haven't stood him next to The Five yet!!!
I am a worm.

No wait!
It wouldn't work! It wouldn't work without a delux Blaster.
I am not a worm.

I think Beachcomber could handle it. Being leader. It'd be the making of him.

Beachcomber would make an ace second-in-command for Perceptor. If only Blaster didn't lead them all astray.

THE SIX!
BUMBLEBEE!
CLIFFJUMPER!
WINDCHARGER!
GEARS!
HUFFER!
BRAWN!
THE ORIGINAL SIX MINI-AUTOBOTS!!!
THE PERFECT TEAM!
My Six are now complete (thanks to the 3P market). Huzzargh Hurrrah!
They look very iconic together. Really quite lovely. And they do form a really compelling team!
The young leader, who's got the brains and courage, but not the experience. The all-out hot-head who never quits. The impatient but reliable master of magnetism (for short periods). The grumpy one (who's secretly trying to boost his comrades moral). The worrying, moody, genius enginner. And the tough guy, who wears his heart on his shoulder armour.
Behold.....
The Six

There's no way a proper huffer could be done at anything less than deluxe. When you account for an accurate hood, at legend class he would be dwarfed by the others. As a deluxe, he'd end up being like... a head taller than a legend.
