The work week begins with once again being treated disrespectfully. The job I applied for had closing date of today. Fingers crossed I get an interview.
To be honest, as soon as I switched my work phone on en route and saw xyz I felt like just turning around and going back home again. The worst job I have ever had.

Really struggling today: achy, head swimmy, can't focus, tummy not great. Lots of that typical for time of year weather wise with the CMT and I should be used to an increase but..... Stres of an election not helping.
Leg Braces fixed, need collecting. GP for tummy booked for next Monday. And DESPARATELY hoping I'll be well enough to go for a curry tomorrow lunch.

10 days now since the last incident of anti-social behaviour and the Police 'excitement' at my block. It's never been this long before. Dare I dream?

Our central heating has been down since Saturday. Took today off as a Boiler Repair person finally made it out to us this morning but the problem is not in the boiler which means it is somewhere in the pipes of the house which will require a plumber and probably sections of our floor to be lifted. Currently waiting on a call back from a plumber. Not a great time of year for this to have happened and with Mrs M pregnant not a great time in general.

Not helped by today needing to unexpectedly have to fix the garden fence because a dog actually came through the panel in pursuit of a cat the other day. Five vertical slats totally shattered. Fortunately, Wickes sell fence panel slats so today I had to buy, cut to fit, screw on and paint to match the others, five wooden slats just to stop this dog wandering round the garden at will. I don't think the owners even realise this happened. That was a couple of hours I wasn't expecting to be stood in the garden. Sooooo.... the dog came through the fence again this afternoon, more broken slats, but at an angle behind the greenhouse that meant it couldn't get back. Because this is the house behind me, not next to, it's quite a walk round to it. But I caught the dog, befriended it, and walked it back round so I could talk to the owner about this. No one in. Brought the dog back, lifted the panel out of its slot and let the dog back into its garden. Which means I now have to repair the panel for the third time and have to find some way to talk to these people to stop it happening again.

Central heating adventures continue... The insurers sent out a plumber today to fix the leak. He thought he was coming to service the boiler not pull our floor up. This is despite being very clear with the insurer yesterday the boiler has been checked already. Suspect the problem lies in the insurer telephone person not asking for case number yesterday and confusion began. Now waiting for a call to arrange a day next week for them to come and lift the floor and fix the leak. Slightly concerned the plumber thought it was impossible for some one to locate a leak non-invasively despite me spending £650 on it and having the report saying where the leak is.
GAH!

So frustrating when specialists tell you something with authority that you know is completely wrong. Reminds me of the summer when the local council buildings expert refused to believe I wasn't talking about a waste water pipe in my garden when I knew full well what I wanted info on was a river conduit.
