Hopes:
· If there's a toy colored Galvatron coming, they announce it before the Kingdom one is released.
· Kingdom is just the start of the return of Beast Wars, with at the very least the main season one cast being completed.
· We hear about the next series after Cyberverse.
Predictions:
Kingdom is just a weird (but joyous) aberration, and once it's over, we start all over at 1984 again.
Resolutions:
I'm done buying redundant toys. If we start over again post Kingdom, I'm out. Unless the new toy offers something significantly better than the previous versions...
· No more massive retools only to have the transformer end up looking exactly like he did before
· No more upsizing 15 year old molds
· No more "alien" alt modes that somehow look exactly like an earth car with the addition of a sticker, only to have that be replaces in less than a year by a completely new mold that does the exact same thing only actually better.

Hopes:- That the next Generations line remembers that it's GenerationS, plural. Like Kingdom is kind of doing, but in less of a weird, awkward way.
- If, however, we must revisit 1984 AGAIN, that we get a MotU Origins-style line, where the toys are true to the original molds, but with better articulation.
- New Botbots are announced, to tie in with the upcoming TV series - we've missed those this year.
- The next, post-Cyberverse series is revealed, and it features new characters.
- Far, far fewer impossible-to-get exclusives.
Predictions:- Hasbro will see that all of their impossible-to-get exclusives are nevertheless selling out, and will continue this retail model.
- Both the next Generations and the new TV series will be another re-tread of 1984 - after all, they've got to give us the full crew to populate that Ark titan.
- I'll complain about everything and still buy the toys anyway like the filthy, filthy hypocrite I am.
Resolutions:- To keep my purchases down - there's a Scraplet to support now!

Predictions
IDW seems to be undergoing some weirdly drawn out implosion, and I've been expecting them to start losing licences for a while. Maybe in 2021? I hope not. But it feels like a matter of time.

I have additional predictions:
· Netflix Soundwave will be repainted into Soundblaster, and to insure those like me who couldn't care less also buy him, he will be the one and only way to get Buzzsaw
· We will at least hear about an arcee do-over before 2021 is out
· The next Megatron toy will be another silver tank with a gun megatron robot mode
· We find out Tigatron has an additional head sculpt based on the mutant head (whether it gets used or not os another matter)
· Shadow Panther will be a remold, rather than a repaint
· Still no word on Armada Optimus, and by the this time next year we can write it off as DOA
· The Beast Wars molds will be as much a success as any generations toy of the last several years, but the vocal minority who have been screeching since the beginning will convince Hasbro they're a failure

PREDICTION
worse UK distribution thanks to Brexit with the specialists repeatedly getting shorted by Hasbro UK and exclusives being even harder to get.

Kinda knackered by the leak the other day, but this is my list anyway.
Hopes
1. TFN goes ahead because Covid goes away in time.
2. Thrust becomes available
3. Artfire is done as a Netflix pack ala Megatron and comes with the targetmaster partners for him and Selects Ricochet.
4. Hasbro listen to feedback on the unavailability of exclusives and... No, what's the point...
Predictions
1. After a promising start, the minibots eventually remain incomplete again
2. Studio Series 86 Dinobots are never finished
3. Selects Artfire, but no targetmaster partner
4. Hasbro don't listen to feedback on exclusives and everyone gets upset again
5. Covid causes trade shows to stay online at least until after SDCC, which Hasbro doesn't compensate for and havoc ensues with exclusives again.
6. The Fossilizers become the surprise hit toys of Kingdom.
7. Kingdom finishes with wave 4 in October
8. Hachette don't follow through on their promise to send me the six volumes I have missing from my set and I end up with an incomplete collection.
Resolutions
1. Break the completist urge by not buying the Beast Wars Generations figures
2. Reconsider whether Masterpiece really is the ultimate collectors' line and where I'm going with it
3. Buy more of the things I actually enjoy instead of things fomo drives me to, like completing more G1 sub groups. Most TF fun I've had in the last few years was chasing the 1989 Micromasters. Completing that set felt great, the thought of trying to 'complete' Earthrise doesn't.

I have absolutely no knowledge of whether TFN is going ahead but I'm not sure. Now Westminister has decided on a 12-week gap between Covid jags it's going to take longer for those of down the priority list to be fully vaccinated. I doubt I'll get jab 1 before Q2 which would out jab 2 in Q3. I'm not going into crowds until I get both*. At this distance, in-person events before Q4 look dodgy to me. I hope to be completely wrong on this!

The Generations line after Kingdom will live up to it's name and go multiversal, since we now have three Generations adjascent lines all putting out G1 it almost feels like they're sweeping up the era.
Resolutions:
Figure out what I want my collection to be, and adjust my collecting accordingly.
