Also from past experience: avoid official DW social media on broadcast days. They like to post spoilers before an episode has even finished being shown. -Ralph Not a problem here - I don't even know that they are on Blusky yet, and if they are I haven't followed them there. What is Blusky? -Ralph

New alternative to twitter for those wishing to escape. It appears to be the Hub's preferred choice to jump ship to.

Oh, I escaped Twitter many years ago. I have no need of a clone.

Oh can I try that? That would help my time management enormously. Can the scienticians get on that for us?

But a clone could do your work for you? If they were given the same education in order to allow them to develop the same skills and knowledge then... perhaps? Of course, this would be subject to the confounding factor that - unless raised in an artificial duplicate of the same social, physical and historical environment as the original the twin might develop different interests and therefore not have any interest in developing the same skill set, or following the same career path as the original. (1) This is before you get into the necessary time-periods to raise a duplicate to a similar age and educational level to take over from you... In short, possible with extraordinary effort and cost is not quite the same thing as reasonably practical... Karl (1) - See: Cyteen; Cherryh, C.J; (1988) for a broader discussion on the difficulty of recovering exceptional skill sets in genetic duplicates of individuals.

I'm going to make a clone of the Kaptain who while absolutely identical doesn't know as much. Harumph.

Out of curiosity, why _is_ this thread in Film and Television? It seems like an odd place for it to reside.
Not a complaint or anything. Just curious as to the history of how it got here.

It isn't now.
It *was* in TV because I spun it out of comments in the DW thread and plonked it in the same forum instead of thinking clearly, which is not something I've been too good at recently. Apologies

Apologies Ah! That makes sense. I see how it got their now. No apology needed. And you didn't have to move it. I was purely curious as to the chain of events that was all. My brain is in overanalytical mode after dealing with a couple of...interesting...problems at work. Karl
