The Target novels have outlasted them all as a delivery system for classic episodes!

Reading the article in DWM about the new CGI sequences for Planet of the Daleks has made me realise all this remastering and rebuilding of episodes for the BR discs is like what Lucas did with the original Star Wars films just before Phantom Menace came out. There's a real question here whether the BR episodes are actually the proper episodes or reconstructions.
Mind you I'm interested to see ep3 again as the colour has apparently been redone from scratch again and is even better than the DVD release.

DWM has gone back to A4 size! It feels odd in my hand.

I wish DWM had never changed from A4 in the first place. I've yet to find a box that properly fits that size for storage. Same for the old 2000ADs.

No, I mean the wider, shorter size it has been. It's similar to the newsprint era 2000AD. No one makes solid storage boxes that fit that size properly.

I bought 5 cardboard storage boxes from A Place in Space a few years ago for this purpose. The boxes are shipped as flatpacks that you put together yourself and are fantastic for holding wider-than-A4 mags. The cardboard is appropriately thick and holds together well, allowing them to be stacked without crushing the box at the bottom. Alternatively, if you work in an office that receives a large amount of A4 printer paper, you may be able to use the empty shipping boxes for free. My previous workplace would get through 2-3 boxes of paper each month and recycle the empty cardboard boxes, but had no objection to people taking them home. If the box has sufficient height (some suppliers provide more paper than others) you can store the DW mags vertically with the spine facing upwards. Printer paper boxes are less sturdy than the ones mentioned above, requiring sellotape to hold them together over time, but could be a cheap/free option.

Interesting. I knew there were comic boxes the right size to store back to front, but I want something that does bottom to top so comics don't need boards to keep them straight. The copier paper box is an interesting idea.

Season 18 set is now teetering on out of print. Price is going up on Amazon and other sellers are more. When the Pertwee one comes out it'll be the only one in the collection available for retail price!

Today would have been Jon Pertwee's 100th birthday! S10 has shown up on BD. I hear great things about Planet 3..... Indeed. The article in the last DWM made it sound good because they've used much more of the recovered colour info this time than the artificial colouring. Truer image. I think of all the BD releases so far, this Pertwee one has excited me the most. I've got 18 and 19 on the shelf now, 10 will follow soon. I still think 12 needs a properly fixed reissue. I also need to work out whether my Leisure Hive disc is a pre or post fixed version.

Phil, is the Season 10 box the same width as the 18/19 ones?
