I imagine HLJ and/or Tfsource will carry out. They usually get Japanese TF books in.

I might well think about giving that a look. It might sit quite nicely alongside the TV Magazine strip collected edition.

Right.
So what do I think? Well my comments on the story are somewhat limited due to my inability to read Japanese. That being said it is easy to follow based on the art alone. I am sure some subtleties and substance is lost but that's unavoidable.
The manga doesn't introduce the Transformers all in one go, in a satisfying nod to Marvel it's Bumblebee who is the main character to start with before we see Optimus and Mirage and company. The art is very energetic and free flowing. The storytelling is clear (obviously reading right to left though) and the panel layouts clear. The art is detailed but has enough of a cartoony feel to remove it from the slavish devotion to the over mechanised style of drawing Transformers we've been treated to from publishers over the last few years.
I'd recommend this to anyone. Still showing as backordered on HLJ at the moment but I am sure they will get more in.

I also meant to say it keeps a relatively small cast list.
Human kid, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Mirage, Grimlock, Jetfire, Starscream, Ramjet, Megatron and Ravage.
