There was then some charity bidding on the shattered remains. IIRC his broken body went for £10.

Got the comic yesterday. I have to say that the Movieverse Autobots are getting on my nerves. Potential intel about a new threat and they continue to ignore it for increasingly spurious reasons.
If this doesn't turn round very soon it's getting dropped.

They were intelligent enough in volume 1 when they were from an alternate universe. Now they're in the Fallen Dave verse the IQ has gone throw the floor.

I've got no problem with them ignoring it when the twins refuse to behave like they have genuine intel. Why the twins are still acting that way, that's my problem. By the end of #3, they should've been over this - you could still do the story in #4 without them staying quiet.

Thinking about it, this Skids/Mudflap story should've been designed so half of it is pre-movie, and from #4 it's post-movie (the Decepticons go back to a plot after the Fallen's dead or something) so it's not stuck trying to make ominous hints about a film that's been and gone.

The biggest problem is that this is the FOURTH* ROTF prequel so can't really do anything as most of the characters are off doing other things. I can't help but feel that perhaps running a parallel plot to the film story might have worked better. Or not making the characters thick as shit.

*The others being: The Veiled Threat, Alliance & Defiance.

The biggest problem is that this is the FOURTH* ROTF prequel Worse - with Tales of the Fallen out, this is the FIFTH prequel! Though in fairness, it's ignoring the other four. That'd have been nice, though potentially undone by script revisions.

Better to just have a go at a story than worry about contradictions. The kids could cope.

Dunno what characters you'd use though, all the film ones have to be in the, er, film. "Hey kids, ignore Prime and look at Knock Out!" might not have gone down too well.

Y'know Titan, Spotlight Kup, Roche's AHM #15 story, and Last Stand Of The Wreckers would make a year's worth of G1 reprints for you...

I think pretty much all of us on The Hub would snag that particular trade.

And come on, zombies, big robots with guns, ultraviolence? Kids would love it!
And you could give away the cy-gar as a FREE! gift!

#5 should be sent out this weekend.
Who would have guessed a Transformers Movie comic 4 issues in with no Optimus Prime so far. He made the cover twice & head shot in the strip - but he's as underused in the comic so far as Megatron is. Bit like the plot in AHM.

I read issues 3 and 4 together last night and I can't believe how bad it is. Whose idea was it to make a continuing story featuring two of the least interesting robots in the movie? If this continues for much longer I fear for the longevity of the series as this could seriously turn many of the comics older readers away.

It's turning me away. If issue #5 doesn't show an upturn I'm dropping it. Money is too tight to waste on stuff that doesn't float my boat.

Likewise, I've been bored by the relaunch and if issue 5 doesn't show some signs of life the comic will be dropped.

Issue's out in the local Smiths - AHM continues its long, slow drudge.
The original strip actually has a good reason for why Skids and Mudflap aren't getting their intell out - and the Previously section is pretending #3 and #4 used that same reason. Naughty Titan! (That would've beeen more interesting...)
More importantly, Optimus Prime and Arcee blow up chunks of Australia fighting a Decepticon. It was a fun action scene.

Is Arcee in her 2007 body? or the Tripartate form? Or perhaps the combined mode?

The tripartate form, though all the bikes are the same colour.
Also, the cover has Bumblebee and "WELCOME TO EARTH!". Which should've gone on #2!
The preview for the #6 cover looks damn snazzy though.
