Wow. Great find, Phil!
Even back then getting TFs from Argos was a lucky draw.
£11.95 seems cheap for an Optimus Prime! I wonder if they were special introductory prices. The ads on the comics had his RRP at £16.99 later on.

Thundercracker looks like he's had an electric shock in that picture.

I like that on number 10 on the Transformers page it has a sign on the Castle Greyskull playset just to show that it is that

Only in the 1980s could you buy young boys in camp shorts for 6,45 pounds!
Ah, the wonder years...

£11.95 for Prime? You'd be lucky to get one of the smaller G1 re-issue toys for that price these days!

That makes me all warm and tingly.
At Christmas time I would cut out pictures from the Argos catalogue what I wanted and stick it on a sheet of paper to give to my mum.
Thinking back, that probably wasn't that helpful, but boy if it wasn't fun.

Awww.
If you like, we can get an Argos catalogue on Saturday, some rounded safety scissors and some glue and make a Christmas list for you this year!

Awww. If you like, we can get an Argos catalogue on Saturday, some rounded safety scissors and some glue and make a Christmas list for you this year! It would need to be Copydex! I would also need to bring my sister along to try to make a rival list from the same catalogue, cutting up the same pages and fighting for them.

Aren't you a bit old now for fighting with your sister?

I know not how to fight.

I was going to complain about the half-arsed transformstions pictured, until I noticed that Superion actually looks better than the chicken-legged version we all use!

I might have to get an Argos catalogue now to remind me of the smell.
By the way, what's a "Thal"? And how come I am one?
