Critically acclaimed fan-favourite 'X-Men: The Last Stand' is on Film4 at 6:45.
Gonna stick it on for comparison with Dark Phoenix.
Looking forward to seeing Vinnie Jones's Juggernaut again.

And how it did it measure up? Well, Kelsey Grammer makes a superior, more charismatic Beast, but other than that Last Stand is inferior in every way. And this was the pre-watershed version that chops bits off half the lines of dialogue in the Juggernaut scenes. Martin

Talking of the Arrowverse crossovers, I'm curious to see how that will play out this time round as the Crisis on Infinite Earths story is split across Supergirl, Batwoman, Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow with an episode in each*, but Batwoman doesn't seem to have been picked up for airing in the UK, so episode two will be missing.
*which is odd; I was sure when this was announced it was supposed to be a ten episode one this time, but I've also read the whole final mini-season of Arrow, 10 eps, acts as a prelude.

Introduced the youngling to The Phantom Menace, which I haven't seen myself in about 17 years, and I really enjoyed it!
Always thought people were a bit too harsh on it, but this time round I never felt like I was tolerating "bad" parts, I enjoyed it all the way through. Maybe I'm going soft in my old age...

Mrs M is not allowed to watch Episodes I-III. She has a vaguely positive impression of the Star Wars franchise after I made her watch it for the first time a few years ago.

Having finished Supergirl season 4 on Blu-ray and waiting for Game of Thrones season 8 to come out, I am attempting to watch Buffy-a-like series 'Shadowhunters' seasons 1-2. As TV shows go, it's certainly easy on the eye, that has to be said, and much better than those awful Twilight movies. The first few episodes cover basically the same material as the 'Mortal Instruments' movie from a few years earlier, which failed to get a sequel. I'm hoping the subsequent episodes go somewhere interesting.

I feel odd saying this because Im sure I must be wrong, but everytime I watch the Blacklist, I find myself thinking "this is the best thing on American TV at the moment"
Then I think "Nah, theres got to be something better"
Theres The Good Place, but I dont know that its better....

I'm thinking tonight I might avail Netflix of the recent critically panned Robin Hood film. Either that or the new one they've put up about Henry V. Spider-man next week when the blu-ray comes out.

Robin Hood is not good though slightly better than the recent King Arthur it is clearly imitating.

That's this week's evenings gone.
