I strained the back of my knee nearly 2 weeks ago and after trying to do nothing for almost a week I managed to pull it worser than ever by stretching while stood still. I give up time for the doctor and pills of pain relief.

Eee, knees and backs. Funny things. Hope yours improves Bog'. Hmm, not sure 'Bog' is a good nickname actually. Doc', I imagine the last day was a strange affair, hope it went ok.
The rough men in leather shorts have finished. Brand spanking new heating system is in! Bring on winter!

Failed my driving test after screwing up a manuvere that I've done perfectly a hundred times before. That's another hundred quid down the drain.
Bloody thing's a racket.

:-(
I stalled on my test (an automatic too!) doing the emergency stop. but because the car was under my control the entire time I still passed.
I had one friend who failed her first test because she was involved in an accident while taking it - not her fault but in the confusion she did something wrong.
She then failed her second through hesitancy - not surprising really.

After finding myself shouting at the slightest thing, I have decided to heed the advice people have been trying to give me for a while and am taking today and tomorrow off from job stuff because I really do worry I'm giving myself health problems with how I've been reacting to stress of late. Got another few apps to get done but they can be Monday's work. Interview coming up on the 21st but obviously I'll keep plugging away to try and get a few more in case that one doesn't fly.
I'll catch up on a few unwatched stuff: District 9 and Gran Torino were watched last night (both very good) and got The Hurt Locker to view later.

Knocked the beer on the head quickly as I felt myself getting tipsy and I wasn't in the mood for that. Had some nice Quorn burgers, have broken out the ginger beer and will put a DW audio on shortly. Will save The Hurt Locker DVD for another day when my head is a bit less fuzzy.

I went to a Go Ape course up here in Scotland this evening. We arrived late, it was belting it down with rain and I hate heights. Fantastic time though.
Highlights - Tarzan Swing. Gut wrenching drop, swing and then hard thud against the net. Still trying to figure out if I jumped or was pushed by a friend... UKs longest zip line. 426m through a rain storm at about 50km/hr. Awesome.

I'm not really in a citrus fruit mood at the moment.... Two days into my long break this year. Finished work on Friday for two whole glorious weeks. How did I spend the start of my holiday. Weeding the garden, cleaning the house and sorting out the kitchen a bit..... However, it was done to the accompaniement of plenty of audio Doctor Who, so it has felt fairly holiday-like. I was looking forward to getting in a nice long walk this weekend as well, but as those moments when it hasn't been raining have seen it blowing a gale - until about twenty minutes ago - that hasn't gone so well. Ah well, I shall put my feet up this evening and re-readed Last Stand of The Wreckers, the last stop on my marathon re-read of IDW Transformers comics. Karl

Just watched The Hurt Locker. Hmmm, I'm not really seeing what the fuss about it is. It's competant, but lacked any particularly interesting hook and I found my attention wandering at times. For a tale of the experiences of how war in Iraq affects US soldiers, the mini-series Generation Kill urinates on it from a high, high height.
Hrm.

Well, I thought Orange, but, sadly, Orange did not prevail. I got a text from my Dutch buddy sounding very depressed. Best team on the night won though, and prob the best team of the competition won. It's been a good World Cup, I'm sorry it's over. Well done South Africa!
Forgot to mention- night before last, Piglet stared in a local production of the opera The Magic Flute. It was a scaled down version, arranged by students from one of the local schools. The organiser taught several 'workshops' with various groups of children, one of which was a 'nursery' group, in order to prepare a prearranged section of the show. Piglet and her small group of 3 and 4 year olds from the nursery group came on 'bout half way through, did a little dance, and went off again. The whole thing was a very well done effort, the students who organised it did a wonderfull job. For 8 weeks now me and Piglet have been going to the workshops, and the payoff was well worth the effort. Piglet loved it, especially 'taking a bow' at the end. All the little ones had animal outfits on, they all looked so cute! So, Piglet's had her first taste of fame! She's always liked being centre of attention. We think she's got alot out of it. But don't worry, we're not going to turn into some of the those weird supper pushy parent types that you see on TV! Not yet anyway.
