Urk, that's terrible, utterly terrible. What the smeg are they thinking with that colour?! On the plus side, if they're doing two more BT repaints, maybe, just maybe, they'll build up to some new molds?! Are they testieing the market? Seeing if there's still interest? Shockprowl votes for Ironhide/Ratchet BT mold!!!!!!!

They aren't particularly inspiring I have to say. I don't think that they mark the death of the Binaltech line. I think that happened some time ago, and like a dinosaur it just took a long time for the message to reach all of its extremities.

I quite like the pink BT; it puts me rather in mind of a pink Astromech Droid figure that was recently produced for a breast cancer charity.
As for the green one. Well, it's distinctive.

The latest BBTS email also refers to them. Unfortunately, there appears to be a problem with Hotmail today so I can't log in to copy the text; they are up for preorder on the site. I think they were assuming they will be plastic.

The two they've released are repaints of existing moulds, though. I suspect the future of the line will be determined by how these two do in the Japanese marketplace.

I want a die-cast 1:24 scale Solstice transforming into Jazz, a Camero as Bumblebee, a Topkick as Ironhide and a H2 as Ratchet, and a Peterbilt as Prime. I want! I WANT!!
(I also want the Deceptions, also 1:24 scale, especially a realistic-as-possible F-22 as Starscream!)

Perhaps Graham has a very large coffee table for use in displaying this stuff? I don't know about 1/24th, but I would happily settle for a decent F-22 alt-mode in 1/60th scale. Starscream would do nicely for that, with Thundercracker as an F-35.

They did indeed exist. Their was one included with one of the releases of Smokescreen as I recall (can't remember which one). They were also bootlegged fairly swiftly and they could be found on ebay in bundle packs with bootlegs of beam sabres from Gundam toys at one stage

It is done! The BT Alert I received from the splendid Nick is now who he should be, who the mold was meant to be for! PROWL!!!! Swapped heads with my Alternator Prowl, leaving my BinalTech Prowl intact 'cos I do love this fig and he continues to have pride and place in my Prowl collection. Attached the labels to him, despite my clumsy sweaty fingers. The ones for his thighs are particularly good. I've decided that labels for his abdomen won't be enough, so I'm going to paint them. Add on the 'Police' labels etc etc, and you've got a top-notch, how he should have been, spank your arse, G1-bean stimulating Prowl! (As I said in Week 10, by the time I'd done Prowl and Alt Jazz, I was in G1ick heaven!)
Coupla questions for my bretheren:
1) I can't decided on squad car numbers for Prowl. You get two 0s, one 1, one 2 and one 3 in the pack, to go on his roof. Firstly I'm not sure if should actually have them anyway, but secondly I'd appreciate opinions on what squad number suites Prowl best.
2) When I do his abdo, I'm going to sand it, then use acryllic paint (can't spell acryllic to save my life, I know). This a correct strategum? I also can't decide on black or grey for his abdo.
3) Anyone know what the initials 'E.D.C' mean? Must be with refference to Police vehicles.

I am thrilled with this 'kit-bash' (if putting on labels constitutes a kit-bash). As I say, I do really like the original BT Prowl. But the Suberu mold, with the horizontal front, just says Prowl to me so much more than the Acura. He's currently stood with my G1 Prowl reissue and the World's Smallest I got off karlos (Free I might add!), and it looks great. Just one fig missing. Roll on Universe Classics!
(Note I managed to get through this entire post about Prowl without mentioning 6" Titani- oh balls...)

Is this E.D.C on the modification stickers you have? Can't remember if Alert has the E.D.C logo. Wracking my brains here but I think it is some cartoon related nonsense. Yeah, E.D.C. is an option on his labels. Goes on the back doors. There's that option and a plain option.
Don't worry 'bout Alert, he lives on...
