Insurrection was really good too, not what I expected to be reading.

With regards to your speculation about Torture Garden Phil. Yes, I think it is, I dare say we will find out next month.

Hoping Skip Tracer ends soon, it's a bit of a dud.
Brink is excellent - took a while to grow on me, but this Cosmic Lovecraftian stuff is intriguing.

With regards to your speculation about Torture Garden Phil. Yes, I think it is, I dare say we will find out next month. Burns says it will be a bit before he gets a copy. If you're able to, can you put your copy in front of him and see if he agrees? It's not what's getting people talking about the Meg this week, something else has got people more excited, but others out there have spotted it.

What our friend "Sabatini" causes to happen. Lots of "woo, it's XXXXXXXXXX" without asking questions as to how it came about. And I think that's going to be an interesting tale which will hopefully be told soon and fill in the gaps. After all in addition to hacking justice dept files, impersonating the real Sabatini, and producing the dead fluids, all of which are on our suspect's CV already, he's somehow managed to break our other friend out of a secure justice dept facility where he's been resting the last few years. Doing that in a manner which isn't noticed, especially after last time, is some piece of work! Which is what makes me even more sure that "Sabatini" is maybe someone we know! Being tasked with this job will explain the slight hole in his story previously. Also note the speech effect for our other friend...... Black background, where have we seen that before? Probably best not to read the contents of the spoiler before Meg 404!

Do come back here after you've read it and let us know if you agree with Us. In spoilers of course, as I'm not sure Burns will have read it. Spoilers come off once he has.

Dammit you guys are pushing me to have to buy the back issues from 400 to date (I got that one). I’ve read the second Lawless Trade this week. I think I can guess what kinda things gonna happen but damn. Winslade’s art is quite breathtaking.

Lawless is Fab. Have you read Insurrection, which precedes it? Yes. Back-issue order in. Might consider going double-sub. Not sure why I don’t already. (Too much comics!)

Anyone still not read Meg 404, and especially The Torture Garden within? Pinwig The Doctor? Be quick, I've seen posts relating to the events within from the creators on Twitter so it's possible you might be spoiled if you leave it too long Nick Percival confirms there's more to "Sabatini" than meets the eye and there's a story to be told there I've reread the previous Dark Judges tales as research and the last two stories our suspect was in. As you know I was never happy with his demise .... And TBH wasn't happy with how he escaped the Dark Judges in Dark Justice. It's obvious now some sort of deal was done there, possibly involving some powers, but what? Our suspect is absent in his next story and then the story where he met is end is missing the usual touches and has this odd voice in the suspect's head. The black background is there, which indicates the Dark Judges, but the speech pattern is all wrong, more like it's our suspect himself in control of someone else. It's unlikely Fear had been broken out by this point..... And that in itself is some tale. I'm guessing somehow Death and co sent word to our friend that Fear had been captured on The Mayflower and they needed him to bust Fear out and get him to Dominion. The last time the suspect was with The Dark Judges all four were together, so it's unlikely he was left alive with the specific job of rescuing One of them should they be captured.

I read the Meg on Sunday. There's some cracking stuff going on. Hershey and Dredd's conversation, the sudden shift in Lawless and the Torture Garden stuff.

Err... No idea. My big problem with getting seven page chunks of stories once a month is that if I stand any chance if remembering what on earth is going on in them I have to go back and reread regularly.

Ok, let's put it this way: someone who knew what they were doing with the dead fluids, so someone who'd met the dark judges before.
Someone who had altered justice dept's records
Someone who had assumed the real Sabatini's identity
Does that maybe fit the previous MO of a known Dredd character?
There's also some indication Hershey recognised him too.... So someone prominent....
Joe won't be happy..... And neither will Ralph!

I get what you're saying and I see how it makes sense. Do the writers match? I can't remember who wrote that character.

No, but this is the first time anyone other than Grant or Wagner has written the Dark Judges. I can see the plan's been laid out for this for sometime with the details handed down to someone to be fleshed out....
I'm also not 100% sure this isn't Wagner writing under someone else's name!

Meg 404 Lawless: How is that not the end! Can only be one more episode surely. Unless the do go back and show us explicitly what happened. I hope Winslade is given another project from the House Of Tharg he really is too good to let go.

I'm also not 100% sure this isn't Wagner writing under someone else's name! David Hine is a seasoned writer in his own right. But he could have been handed the plot you’ve suggested by Wagner. Nice theory BTW, although I’d say Hershey’s reaction is to what’s typed rather than the dude’s face

I've yet to hear from anyone who enjoys Skip Tracer. The writer is on the latest Thrillcast talking about it and it sadly sounds like something that they are pushing really hard as a new long term feature.
