You'll soon adapt, Hero! It does get easier! I remember taking Piglet home when she was new, me and Mrs Shockers just looking at her and saying to each other- "right, er, what do we do now?". It's a brilliant time, hard work, but brilliant, and it soon goes. She'll be bossing you around like Piglet does me in no time!!!

I'm back, baby! A whole month back in the land of ice and snow! I'm so happy I've put together my Lego AT-AT and I'm well happy with it. Tomorrow I run out to do some Christmas shopping and we'll see how that goes. It all depends on how early I get up after a fun sleepless night aboard an Airbus 330. Good times. A month! Woot! -Nick

I'm glad to see the BBC wasn't exaggerating the cold. When I came out of Glasgow airport to meet my dad at the car park, I thought my eyeballs were going to freeze over! Fun!
Currently trying to get onto the KAUST student portal- Google can't find it and I can't remember the url so it's time to dig the laptop out. Got 3 grades back, 1 to go. The lecturer doesn't give much of a toss so they may not be ready yet but we'll soon see.

Blaise sat and watched her first wrestling show yesterday and was bombarded with loads of visitors all wanting a hug.
Her face is starting to form a little more and she is opening her eyes a lot now.
If I can get to my computer again today, I'll post some pics later.

I am developing a deep dislike for inkjet printers. For some reason mine has decided to give up actually printing anything. Oh sure, it chatters and clatters and rumbles away and spits paper out of the delivery end. Unfortunately instead of my airline booking the paper contains a blob of ink about two inches below the top left-hand corner...
What really annoys me is that it would actually be cheaper for me to buy a new one than to get it repaired. And also I kind of needed it this evening so I could get this sorted out. Ah well. Fortunately I have a backup plan.

I know the feeling, Karl- I have 2 printers in Saudi now, because buying a new one with complimentary cartridges was cheaper than replacing the ink in the first one. Or it would have been, if I had been able to find the cartridges for it anywhere. Explains why it was so cheap.

Was asked to attend a workshop in Aberystwyth today, so went up yesterday on the train. Very nice town. managed to look into the National Museum of Wales for half an hour in the morning before the workshop. Found a couple of people I knew and so got a lift back with them, getting home tonight two hours earlier than I would have done if I'd waited for the train.
Two days of work left before 17 days of freedom. Roll on Friday.
