Left Cardiff on the 6.55 train, participated in a meeting in London from 10 till 12.30, was back in Cardiff by 4pm, did an hour of work at my desk, got home by 5.45.
Add this to a multi-agency nuclear accident exercise on Wednesday, and I've had a fun but knackering week.
Absolutely no plans for the weekend and looking forward to a total two-day chill-out.

I survive! I had to get up ridiculously early (5.30) so I could get to the ambulance station for 7am, then spent 10 hours zooming about in the rapid response vehicles! Great fun!

Hope you are ok, bud.
On top of the stupidity with the returned job app (see Postal Woes), I had a rejection on that job with the local school. It made me cross that I had to login to a recruitment site to find that one out..
However, I am still going to keep something going with that school, maybe even one or two days a week voluntary LSA work. I at least want to try and get a foot in the door as I am interested in the school itself and I want to get my daughter a place there in the future.
I am feeling like this week has ended horribly and need to try and move on.

Culled over half my contacts on Facebook with some purging as it was becoming unmanagable and to be honest if folk want to keep in contact who haven't sent any messages wanted to be there they had plenty of opportunity.

Hi Sportsfans!
I have news.
Child number two is on the way! Piglet number 2. Actually, I've taken to calling this one 'Wriggler' ('Cos it wriggled alot during the scans!). That's Wriggler, not Riddler.
Had our 20 week scan today, and everything is ok, thank goodness. So telling everyone now. Parenty types already knew of course. Told Piglet today as well. We weren't that sure how she'd react, she's quite unpredictable in that way! But she seems pleased, excited even, a little thoughtful, but mainly excited. Me and the Mrs had come to realise that telling Piglet would be one of the most enormic parts of this whole thing! So glad it went well.
Now, my brother has two children, and my best friend has two children, both born almost on the same day, 2 days apart. Me and Mrs Shockers, privately, said to ourselves "hu, they couldn't have planned it any better than that?". Piglet's birthday is in the middle of June- guess when Wriggler's due? MIDDLE OF JUNE! Ha! Show us didn't it?!
We're freakin' over the freakin' moon. A little terrified, but mainly over the moon. I'll be sure to keep my cyber chumbs up to date!
WRIIIIIGGGGGGGGLLLLEEEERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, man!
Don't forget- 'Wriggler', not 'Riddler'. Sound it out. 'Wriggler', not 'Riddler'.

My thoughts are with you, Ken. Chin up and focus on the next chance...
Congratulations on the coming of the Wrangler, Ian!
My god-daughter's birthday is three days before her older sister's.

Not long back from a weekend at Turnbull Towers. Despite (for me) a hefty amount of vodka no ill effects nor hee-hawed. Merely some loss in manual dexterity. Huzzah.
No amount of alcohol can make Superman IV good though.
Now for Quorn burgers and cartoons.

I've finished off this weekend colouring up a pic from late last year. It's not quite finished, but I'm liking where it's at right now.
I *shouldn't* have been doing this, mind. I've got enough on for the next few months as it is.
