Too good to be true.
I have a visit to a local Primary School this morning where I am being given a tour of the premesis. I may be working there soon. Channelling for this job prospect would be appreciated.

Good day at work. Alas, new diet regime faltered on Day 1. I thought I had cleared out all the snacks but I found an Iron Man chocolate bar in the cupboard and that was it. -Ralph

I've been hit by a second wave of the flu I had over Christmas. I'm absolutely shattered and slept most of the day. The trip to birmingham is probably partly to blame as I got little sleep from Thursday onwards. Have opened most of my weekend purchases and they are all great. Even Fallback.

I am just about to open up MOTU Classics Battle Cat. Then I shall make other Masters figures ride him round the living room!

Is MOTUC Battle Cat posable or static to homage the original toy?
My primary school visit went well today. I should be hearing back from there by the end of the week.

I shall keep my fingers crossed for the job prospect Ken.
Another hectic and long week has begun. As well as a ton of work to do I have an important staff meeting to attend on Wednesday (not looking forward to that, due to the primary topic of discussion) and I have a meeting that I will be attending in my capacity as one of the dedicated IT folk at another Housing Association's offices on Thursday morning. Unfortunately said meeting is in Irvine on the other side of Glasgow, and starts at 09:30. So I can expect a departure time from home on Thursday morning of approximately 07:00...... I rarely think about going back onto drinking full-caff coffee (we already have Barry Allen and several reserve Flashes, not to mention Quicksilver, there are far too many speedsters already. And I don't really want a useful superpower, I'm not really Justice League material) but I was tempted for a moment today.

Good luck, Hero!
Hi Sportsfans!
Our video player broke last week, how much are new video players these days?!?!?!!!! Managed to dig my old old old one out of the loft- and it still works!!!!!! Praise be.
Struggeling to find not only a table, but also a bookcase that defines me as a person.
Some good news though, the Die Harder jumper is working out really well, especially with my brown winter slacks.

Took Blaise out in the pram today to show her off to some of the local Keynsham townsfolk.
We visited the post office, Iceland, and The Entertainer where I picked up some Minicons for The Doctor, and Blaise got a little something with her Christmas money. We stopped off at the park on the way back and by the time we got home the little madame had been tired out and went to sleep.
Going to list a fair few TFs on eBay this week, so I'll probably play Santa Clause and scour peoples want lists first before I do so.

Economic times bite hard in the voluntary sector. This year's cost of living increase will be 0.65%, next year's will be 0.0% and the following year's will be 0.0%.
In times past, this would annoy me greatly but to be honest I'm just greatful to have a job (I'm only in my 3rd month!) so I can't say I am too fussed at this particular time. I'll just make allowances in other areas.

Economic times bite hard in the voluntary sector. This year's cost of living increase will be 0.65%, next year's will be 0.0% and the following year's will be 0.0%. I and all my colleagues had a total pay freeze last year and will have the same this year and probably for the next few years, while cost of living rises. Doesn't really hurt me personally (having no family to support, no car, no expensive holdays, and mortgage mostly paid off) but even colleagues who are hurting agree that it's better to share the pain this way and thus keep compulsory redundancies to an absolute minimum. No word on the job front yet. Hopefully I will get something soon.
I am still working cover at the pre-school, and that helps get me by a bit.
Blaise was good last night and only woke up twice.

I discovered this morning that the West of Glasgow can look rather sinister when viewed through a freezing fog. I was on a train to Irvine in the early hours and all that could be seen out of the window was the strip of post-industrial dereliction looming out of the fog which closed in at around ten metres range. It was all toppled walls, empty foundations and piles of rubble. It looked a lot like one of those Blake's 7 planets where the world population is quadrupled by the arrival of the Liberator!
Then we got out of the city and headed west-ish and the post-industrial landscape was replaced by an equally empty post-agricultural seeming one. It felt very odd to be sitting in an almost empty training passing through this seemingly-empty landscape.
Fortunately the meeting was a good one, and worth the getting up early (6.55 from my house for a 9:30 meeting) for.
It, along with the extra hour I worked this evening has done wonders for my flexi-time (devastated previously by SNOW CHAOS!) and it looks like I might actually be able to leave the office a bit earlier tomorrow - which nicely makes up for the number of times I have been there late over the last fortnight.
Now, if this cold would just leave me alone for a bit all would be rosy.

I have been enjoying the novelty of a Friday off work. Grabbed the long-lie I desperately needed. Went for a walk along the canal (two swans were walking along the path, annoyed that the canal had frozen over again), posted a box, managed to reclaim some overdue items from Royal Mail, caught a couple of podcasts. Now I shall grab some reading material and head out for a coffee.
