D'aww. He/she looks so perturbed Greetings from Rome, folks. It's my last night here before heading back to Saudi tomorrow. When I get back I have more work to do than you can shake a rubber chicken at, I have an extra class to take on and I have to apply for (and get) a U.S. visa to do my internship that starts in... about two months. Eep. Italy's been a wonderful break, though. The hustle and bustle, the ease of movement, the legions of un-shrouded girls, the churches, but most of all- the GREEN. It's EVERYWHERE. I have photos. I will slap some up on Facebook when I've got time. So... August. -Nick

The second attempt of the year was made to take over my gas account without my permission. Enquiries revealed that it's perfectly legal for any company to take over your gas or electric. All they have to do is try 3 times. On the 3rd attempt your current supplier has to terminate and transfer your account whether you want them to do so or not.
I will be going through Scottish Power like a knife through butter on Monday for it is they who are behind this bollocks. I don't want to use them. I never contacted them by mail/email/phone/in person yet they persist in trying to take over my gas supply.
Just as well we have energy regulators, eh? Useless shower of arseholes.

In other news, I really did not expect a poster shouting THOR: GOD OF THUNDER! above the urinal in the cinema loo. Fair put me off my game.

I admire you guys for being open about mental health issues....I suffer from chronic depression, which I take medication for. It can be a shitter and I agree with Ralph concerning the Mental Health numpties, the NHS being over run as it is can prove to be shit, I wanted at one stage one - on - one psychotherapy or was it psychoanalysis? The referal took ages, about a YEAR....I was allowed to go to an out patients clinic but that was awful...you'd go there and there'd be other depressives or people with mental health issues who would either come regularly for 'the company' or 'to simply get out'....What 'sessions' we did have were condescending, childish, ridiculous and on most instances I found myself simply doing nothing all day there, then go home....
They wanted to simply offer me 'group therapy'....more harmful than good. I could go on but won't...In the end I felt 'sod it', my Dad had an extremely harsh, sad and traumatic life as a child and he 'simply got on with it', good inspiration for me I thought. Hes ill too now but thats another story...I still have shit days, but I try and get on with whatever I need to do. Toys, in a sense are a treat to myself from myself.

I never contacted them by mail/email/phone/in person yet they persist in trying to take over my gas supply. This story surprises me, but if it's easier to get a company to take you over than to get a company not to, if you can't stop SP from doing so, I'd suggest waiting till they've done so and then contacting another company and asking them to replace SP. They'd probably be delighted to assist you. In other news, I really did not expect a poster shouting THOR: GOD OF THUNDER! above the urinal in the cinema loo. Fair put me off my game. First time I read this, I took 'poster' to mean 'person who posts', which made it a lot more exciting than text on a piece of paper. Shame. Martin

and a Good Morning from sunny South West London. Jonathan and I are at Mum's while Liz "does stuff" at home.
A trip to the shops is in order.
This time next week we'll be waking three Scotsmen up.

the NHS being over run as it is can prove to be shit, Don't worry, the government is in the process of completely dismantling the NHS and handing it on to private providers! The scary thing is that they are already getting rid of people in the SHAs and PCTs, and /have no idea exactly what they will replace them with/. I GUESS IT WILL BE PRIVATE CONSULTANCIES THEN!

There are plenty of decent voluntary organisations out there who can assist with mental health issues in addition to NHS services. It's worthwhile checking out what's in the area.

Today's run was really difficult. If i hadn't been running along with my friend Steven neither of us would have finished.
But we did it. Two down, two to go.

I flamed out really quickly on this afternoon's jog. On the one hand it is frustrating how little I can manage and how sore I feel, but on the other hand it's only this week that I decided increased fitness was required so musn't grumble. I just need to deal with that side of my personality which has a tendency towards wanting quick action.
I plan to take my trainers and do a couple of early morning jogs while on holibags. I don't want to be embarrased on this 5K in May, especially as I will be doing it as a fundraiser.
