Continued from Week 18The world has fallen out of my bottom. Oh My Goodness The worst bit was the stuff I had to drink to make it happen. I could have achieved the same effect with a decent king prawn dansak......

I'm not 100% sure how I got from this thread to having John's profile up on the screen but it does seem oddly apropriate...

I LIVE!
An hour's wait when I got there, and a bulshie admissions nurse that came that close to sending me home.
Awake throughout, saw my insides on TV :-) My bough makes a tight turn at one stage beyond which they couldn't pass the camera so they had to give up. Samples taken of the wall and what they saw looks fine.
All done now. HUNGRY!

Excellent. Good to hear that all seems to be ok in the relevant department too. (Bolshie people seem to be par for the course today. I had one on the 'phone today who asked me to do something and then asked if I could do said thing several times after I had said that I would do so. It seemed to take a bit of convincing to get across that when I said I would do this thing it means that I will do this thing...) All the universe does tremble for the hunger is upon the World-Eater, and when Galactus hungers he must consume. :- ) Karl

So basically you had the shits? Your ringer must have stung then....You should wash your botty instead of wiping with tissue, trust me on that one.
Bathroom must've been a no go area for a while then?!

That's a rather indelicate way of responding. The man had a medical procedure. Let's not be crude. Thankyou.

Woo. Woken up this morning feeling very woozy like I've had a few drinks. I think we can safely say there's an after effect from the sedative they gave me, even though it was only very mild. Whether that's an interaction with the CMT or not we'll have to see.
Eating fine now, no problems. Though I am wondering whether the curry planned for tonight is a good idea or not. My mouth says yay, my digestive systm isn't passing comment.
Quiet day today I think. The Terror of the Autons commentary beckons.

Is that making things better or worse? Curry definitely sounds like a bad idea.

Food's helping, especially as it means I can take my CMT medication again. It will take a day or so for my stomach to sort itself out, been behaving a little oddly.
I may wuss out on the curry front tonight and just have some filled Narn.

Have you ever spotted how the Narn's governing body is caled the Korai? JMS is known to be a fan of Indian food.... I hadn't noticed that... That is brilliant! Hope you are feeling a bit less woozy now Phil. I have spent today at a Team Away Day at the Botanical Gardens at Edinburgh. An excellent place to pick because not only did we have quite a productive morning through being away from the office but we had a chance over a long lunchbreak to take a wander around the place. I wandered down, and then back up the chinese hillside that that they have there (gradiating from alpine plants at the top to forest floor at the bottom of the slope) and spent a while sitting staring at the pond. Very restful it was too. Then I decided to stump up the entrance fee for the glasshouses and spent a while wandering amongst the tree ferns, cacti and epiphites that grow in the various glasshouses. Got a pang of nostalgia looking at the New Zealand Kauri tree, I still miss those. I don't normally get the chance to get anywhere near large amounts of trees and whatnot in my lunch hour. It was very pleasant. Karl
