A little clearer now, thanks but still not quite right. That's not 100% unexpected though, CMT is known to do odd things with anasthetics.
Went for the narn for dinner. Made the mistake of dipping it in Liz's korma sauce which the tummy didn't like, so not having the intended Dansak was a good idea. My university friend Matt who was dining with us had a Naga Massala and that was amusing to watch. I tried the tinsy of bits on the edge of a spoon and regretted it. Kids: Naga Massala is bad for your health.

Had my first final today in between frantic bouts of lab work. It was almost alarmingly easy- to the point where I was sure I'd missed something. Anyway, two more exams, a lab report, a term paper and a presentation to go and I'm done! Yay.

The spelling of the dish varies from Indian restraunt to Indian restraunt. It's well worth having if you've never tried one, one of my favourites up there with the Dansak and Pathia

Indeed.
I am patiently waiting for the current period of insomnia which started last Sunday to end. Any day now. Any day now.

I would imagine that insomnia + running training would suck, getting the energy up to go out to train with lack of sleep, blehhh.

And yet I managed the best jaunt yet this evening! Got a bit further and first time I have not had to stop to catch my breath. I do hope I am turning the corner, because I am shitting bricks about the upcoming 5K. If there wasn't a time-limit and I wasn't doing it as part of a work fundraiser I would be somewhat more relaxed!

Either I've got the slowest building cold of all time or have hay fever for the first time for decades.
Otherwise this week has passed with me achieving almost nothing I had hoped to get done. Managed some tidying which is something.

Today was one of those days where an awful lot of work gets put in, but doesn't appear to amount to a great deal of progress. This end of the week feels like I am trying to shove something very, very heavy. A lot of expended energy for very little return. Looking forward to tomorrow, an early finish and the knowledge that I am done for the week.
I plan on tabling a lot of things to revisit next week under the "fresh start" protocol...

It's been an energy-draining week, work-wise, and a very busy and potentially mad day looms. Thankfully, starting half an hour early today means I can (hopefully) finish half an hour early. Then I plan to crumple into a heap and catch up on comics and podcasts.

My film CA$H premieres tonight at the Sideways Exhibition in Brislington. Looking forward to seeing it and hopefully it will do well.

Utterly knackered and skint so using the Cineworld Unlimited card to see some films for no extra cost! Just back from 'The Way' because it had Martin Sheen in it though it didn't do much for me alas. About to pop back round for 'Attack of the Block' which I suspect will either be inspired or dreadful!

Rather annoyed to wake up feeling very sore and full of aches and pains. Much lying down today I think. Can't get ill 7 days before the race of doom.

Ravenously hungry all day! Bizarre.
Alas, this laptop just can't cope with streaming video much anymore so hardly used iPlayer. Tried the desktop download application, which is excellent. However, the laptop can't play that either without freezing.
As I choose not to have a TV and can't use the iPlayer, time to cancel the TV licence! At least I'll be better off with one less tax to pay.

Feel better, Ralph.
Pleasant day up in the woodlands of Caerphilly today getting some formal dormouse training. Got to handle two sleeping dormice, which I haven't done before. (It's always been fully awake dormice previously.) You can do anything with a sleeping dormouse - uncurl them , roll them around. They physically cannot wake up quickly - it takes about 20 minutes for them to do so, as they warm up in your hands. (Which is very sweet, but a severe handicap if they get attacked by field mice intent on eating their brains.) Also found many birds' nests in dormouse boxes packed full of tiny chicks (blue tits, etc.).
Together with the regular handling experience I get at my local reserve, it should hopefully mean I can get my own licence by the end of the year.
And last Sunday I was the first person in Cardiff to sight a peregrine chick sticking its head out of the nest on the clock tower. So all in all, a good week for wildlife.
