I'd be really impressed if they went for that much. Half that amount? Then you'd be talking.

I just received a Beast Wars Scorponok in darn good condition for 3 quid!!!!! I was at work when it ended and expected to have lost it (hoped I'd be able to jump on a PC at work and bid more, but didn't work out like that, bloodly poorly people...), but was surprised to find I'd won it for 3 squids!

Does the launcher work ? Is the bee intact ?

It's cool Ralph, there's a story on the back of it he hasn't shown. But it's a right bugger to thread together. You have to do it yourself.

I still remember buying mine in Smiths a million years ago; it was reduced because one of the bits was missing. I never could quite figure out the story...ahhh...memories.
I'll look forward to Star Dub if you win it Ralph.

Ha ha, great news!
Now please time yourself when putting it together. Any time under 6 or 7 hours is noteworthy.

^^ Although undoubtedly puerile of me, I love that Long Haul is transliterated "Ronguhauru" and that Ultra Magnus is a "Shitikomanda"

It still doesn't beat Thunderclucker in my hilarious romanisation book. For a point of reference, that's enough money to buy a quarter of a house in Japan, even in bits of Tokyo. Still wish I had the money for it though, I need me some Artfire.

I nearly got one of those a while back I don't think it went that high but I had already used some of my bidding deposit on something else.
It crazy that a junker goes for that though.

Their terms and conditions on the payment tab states they should post the item 3 days after recieving cleared payment!

Isn't it clear enough from what they wrote that that's exactly what they would have done?
They apologised profusely and offered Phil a refund. (Whoops, I started typing "weekend" there, haha!) They asked whether there's anything they could reasonably do to make up for it.
It's hardly the end of the world, and they were very gracious in how they handled the problems owing to their supplier letting them down. I'd be pleased to have those people working in my office if I happened to run my own firm.

No.
They were expecting them last Friday the 11th. I bought them the Saturday before that - the 5th. They were at no point in any position to fulfill the order in the time frame specified ("items are usually packed and shipped within 24 hours of recieving full payment" and if you examine their feedback they have past form for offering pre-orders that appear as if they're in stock.
