Yes I keep thinking about that. Not many about last time I looked. And not exactly inexpensive neither.

You know, they may be simple fellows these Constructicons but they have a certain charm. Scrapper is the first I've looked at and transformed. He scores points for having a transformation that mimicks the original and also because the weapons mode with the Devy chest pieces works too. Unexpected ankle tilts, so he just about poses. Bit hollow for a Voyager size toy, but I like him.

I have broken my Siege duck! Smyths yielded a Megatron. Hurrah!
I noticed shelf tickets for Ultra M, Megatron and Hound (all empty bar two Megatrons) that suggests all the bigger sizes classes will appear before long.

Err, and I have just had a shipping note for UW Superion. Bit of a goink, I thought that was shipping end of Feb, not beginning! Right. Must flog my Hasbro Aerialbots then. I was hanging onto them in case this reissue got canned like those other ones.

Oooooohhhh... I have just sold a sculpture! Now decisions must be made, who/what do I get? I must be hasty before the keeper of the purse strings is upon me and my shopping waylaid! Curse her nimble little fingers and keen money senses, but I'm sure I can squeeze a bot or two in before it is all gone to expenses!
Ah the possibilities, so many choices! I could use some advice so let loose with your voices!

Hey, you know, I do need a good prowl. But your mention of mp, it does make me scowl.
I do agree their alt modes are fine, But their size! And their price! For those I have no time.
But a prowl in deluxe that is something I crave. However, I have spied a fine leader bot... By the name of shockwave!

A much belated post this, but still...
Within two hours of arriving in Auckland last Sunday I found myself in possession of a Nitro Zeus and a Cyberverse Scout Windblade. (Yes, I had scouted the area for toy stores before arrival.) Nitro Zeus was very unexpected, but also in clearance worked out at fifteen quid, so hurrah a body for TR Thunderwing at last! Windblade was also on discount, and has a cool little wing-swipe action, which makes up for s rubbish transformation. Just a shame she’s already gone missing in the constant move between hotels. I’ll have to find another...
Also a couple of days after that on arriving in the Maori-cultural centre of Rotorua I ended up soaking up the local culture by picking up a Cyberverse Ultra Slipstream, Warrior Windblade and Siege Pteraxodon. Slipstream has a cool spinny blade reveal feature, but her robot mode is lacking in articulation, which is unsurprising for the line, but she also seems to be made of very cheap plastic, which is disappointing. The other two I’ve not opened yet.
I’ll be searching for more Siege wave two once I hit the South Island on Sunday...

I've now converted all the Constructicons to robot mode to take in the lineup. They look much better in robot mode than they do vehicle. There's more thought in the paint and the surface detail. It helps these are the Takara ones so they have elbows and hand guns. Long Haul is a monster! They aren't up to the quality of a standard Voyager, but they are pretty nice.
The only issue I've found really is Bonecrusher. His moulding just isn't sharp enough for the joints that hold him together. His crotch won't stay joined and the scoop doesn't sit very neatly when flipped up to make his chest.

Siege Megs is a thumbs up from me. From this figure alone I'm not getting the 'solid feel' that people talk about with this line, it feels just as lightweight as the Prime Wars figures (not helped by the fact one of his ankle rockers won't stay in place and his foot keeps falling off) but the look of the figure is nice and there's obviously been thought about poseability. The transformation is fun. The tank mode is weak, even compared to the TR one, but I'm looking forward to getting more in this line. So get it sorted Smyths. I need another Friday treat this week.

They've got all the Deluxes in stock online now, just not in the shops. I just hope we get over this bottleneck on wave one before they end up going straight to wave two.

Err, right. So Siege Megs stood with the UW Constructicons makes him look a bit small. Apollyon with the Toyworld Constructicons is one of my favourite displays, but this doesn't quite work.

No it doesn't does it. I've found that. It's similar for the Combiner Wars teams as well. The reduction in size of Siege causes problems. It's ok if you just keep them combined though. Dev' looks pretty awesome towering over the rest of the Decepticons.

Finally got around to picking up Seige Flywheels/Skytread. There was some initial disappointment as the tank mode just didn't go together properly, but some quick hunting turned up a fix on TFW, and after some (initially a little scary) clipping out of unnecessary plastic from the figure, he now transforms perfectly.
Is it wrong that I now kind of want another Battletrap done the same way? Don't get me wrong, I love PotP Battletrap and he's great for mucking about with, but Skytread really shows how it should've been done.

Well...
I just got ss megs, and tr twinferno. Megs is fantastic, a bit gappy, but with the gun fix (and hopefully the add on kit) I can live with it. Twin fern is pretty cool, the monster mode is ok, the bot mode is really good.
I now have the dna ss megs add on kit, and tr grotusque and repugnus, as well as potp bludgeon/quintus in the post...

No more Siege Wave 2 sighted on the South Island, alas. Bad Kiwis! But I did manage to pick up a replacement Scout Windblade, so that's something.

Hurrah! Went to Smyths, found some Deluxes. I opted for Skytread and Hound.
But tell me this, there was one Sideswipe there. He looked... off to me. Are his thighs white-white, or are they the off-colour dull/cream white that I saw? He looks really like a scaled down version of the MP, and I think the fact his legs weren't full white really threw me.

Errmmm, they're... gee you got me thinking... they are slightly off-white...
But he's a great figure, Pins, he's freakin' lovely. If you like Hound, you'll like him. #HasbroRep'
EDIT: And yes that means you have to open Hound.... TONIGHT.
Or in the morning... that's cool...

I almost forgot, I recently acquired a Siege Sideswipe with his creamy white thighs.
He's really great, another really solid feeling toy without too much complexity. I am being won over to this line...

I picked up "Studio Series" Thundercrack from t'Entertainer at the weekend. I wasn't going to, especially given I now have Nitro Zeus, but given that he was half-price, it seemed rude not to.

Package from Amazon.com unexpectedly appeared. That's W1 Battlemasters/Micromasters & PotP Tailgate. Micromasters might actually jump the opening queue. I'm keen to see what they're like. I'm surprised to find they're the same size as the Battlemasters, I thought they'd be a smidge bigger.
Tailgate looks the business. I love the Windcharger mould, but Tailgate's got a much better proportioned head.

POTP Tailgate is FAB. I wasn't going to bother with it as I was happy with the T30 version but changed my mind after I had a shot of Phil's. It manages to homage the 80's Tailgate mini-Autobot toy (a childhood favourite) while still doing its own thing).
The toy appeared to go pretty much under the radar of The Fandom, which was a shame.
