Tailgate was pretty much spot on. He's the one responsible for my wanting to collect all the Legends sized updates of Minibots.
I think I prefer the Windcharger with the bonnet chest, but this one he shares with Tailgate hits so many nostalgia buttons.

Speaking of, Legends Bumblebee has arrived this morning. I now own the correct Cerebros head. It's only taken me a year...

Pinwig finds himself teetering on the edge of another rabbit hole.
All this recent discussion about playsets in some threads and Micromasters in others. Well. Curiosity got the better of me. I had to see. I've obtained a Skyhopper. Boxed, complete. Very dusty - needs a clean, but it's sound and the stickers are probably good enough not to need replacing.
So this is my first ever proper G1 micromaster. My word, he's a lot like an Armada minicon. But with the plate in place in the cockpit he can fly his own chopper. Which turns into a base. I like the fact that when he's in the chopper he's the right size for it. Hmm. I may need more of these little chaps.

Micromasters are good because they're really solid, unlike a lot of the modern day little figures that rely on balljoints which just pop off at such a small scale. There is a bit of a glut of car Micromasters that transform identically though (feet flip down, hood back)
The other positive is that you can actually get most of the bases shockingly cheap. It's actually the smaller combiner bases that tend to be more expensive (or unless you want an unbroken Skystalker, 99% have something wrong with one of the wings or tiny plastic hinges)

Yes! solid is right. I was fiddling with this little chap and thinking, god this feels like a proper toy. It helps his joints are tight. Because of the age it almost feels brittle, but it isn't. He's a super little dude.

Phil, you are obsessed with that clip, it is relatively easy to come by!!

Skystalker looks amazing... but why is a blue and grey shuttle piloted by an orange car? At least Countdown is a moon buggy thing to go with his rocket.

Is it?
Pinwig, Phil has summoned me to point out that Toy-fu has basically every 1989 Micromaster base if you are on the lookout for them at TFN.

Scrubbing thirty years of muck off Skyhopper. He's coming up lovely.
I've just noticed that the price sticker on the box is a TRU one, but the price is $12.99. So this must be an American one.

Having had Legends BB for a day or so now I can quite happily say he is light years better than Roadburn. The plastic feels better and more sturdy and the paint apps on the wheels make a world of difference. It's almost not the same toy. Takara knocked this guy outta the park, they really did.

Siege Aimless, spotted by chance while going to Smyths to get some LEGO for my daughter. Like Blowpipe, another solid little Targetmaster that I'm glad to be able to provide TR Misfire with. Not much else to say about it!
