Has anyone seen these: www.genpets.com/index.php What are your thoughts on it? Serious convo please, I found it fascinating to read over but also wrong in a way....I wonder how responsible people would be, especially children...

The website talks a huge amount of crap about the technology involved. I suspect this is a deliberate spoof to make a serious point.
There's no way their claims about the bio-engineering they say is involved or its supposed effects can be true and they present some rather unreal history of genetic research as well. Ethically as well I can't see anyone being allowed to sell living creatures in this way even if it were possible to make them.
Like I say, prob a clever spoof or some irresponsible scare mongering from an opinionated pressure group to make a point about where the technology may take us if we drift along with it. Unfortunately I think the only effect will be to confuse and concern people as the website doesn't make this clear.

Its actually the work of a very talented Canadian Artist. If you go to the about section theres a very clever set of arguements on the reasons behind it all. I wanted to gauge your collective reactions to it...
