Strange goings-on in Cardiff yesterday. As I went into the library a couple of female students with a sign saying "Land grab in progress" on one side and "Keep out" on the other were trying to attach a small tent to one of the front pillars. A member of staff had a quiet word with them. I went up to my nosey reading window on the fifth floor, by which time a police car had come and gone. The students stood around looking lost for a bit, wandered off, returned three in number, two wearing hard hats, put up a flowery tent, into which two of them went, then came out of again, then two of them wandered off again with the tent, leaving one standing around on her own for twenty minutes looking at her mobile phone, then two came back - may have been the same two with a different tent, green this time - put it down so that the other could photograph them sitting in it, then they all walked off again. Total time with tents and sign in place on the ground would amount to about ten minutes at most, spread over the course of an hour, and from my point of view, two chapters of The Pickwick Papers. I wonder if they achieved what they set out to achieve. As predicted Jonathan's body clock did not reset. Overheard mobile phone conversation this morning whilst walking to church: "Yes, I put the hour back on my phone, and then it put another hour back itself, so now I'm an hour late." Sigh. Martin

Soooo glad this morning is over.
We had a wedding in our morning service I had to play the piece of music the bride came into off the computer. She found it on YouTube, I MP3'd it but when we did a dry run on Thursday we decided the sound quality was rubbish. So i had to source a new mp3 from the next, check it was the same recording and play it at the right moment. I had nightmares (literally) last night about the sound not working right.
Hopefully nobody heard the **** up afterwards when we faded the music down, I pulled the sound lead and it started coming out the laptop's speakers.

L Rather than pass it on to Oxfam, I'll bring it to ScotCon and pass it on to Karl instead. Martin Thank you kindly Martin, that would be most kind of you. Karl
