Sorry, Phil. I had to pinch the week title early. I have waited 44 weeks for it!

Sausages bring joy but so do references to bad Doctor Who serials.

In my job a year as of today. One whole unbroken year of being employed. The shit times of 2007-2010 can now hopefully recede into their proper place in the past.

Blood donation #10 achieved, which means I get a shiny bronze badge. Hurray. As usual, it was the very arduous task of lying down on a comfy couch for a few minutes before free biscuits and juice.

All I wanted was a plastic bag from the kitchen....
Walking into the kitchen I knocked a pot off the shelf which turned out to have my missing rechargeable batteries in. So I opened the cupboard under the sink to get out one of those little net bags for putting the washing tablets in to hold them. Pulled the box out from the cupboard, shelf on top of it fell down cos the supports had snapped....
which is why, at 10:15 at night I was busy emptying, to remove the shelf with stuff on it, and then refilling our sink cabinet.
some of the stuff in there...... why Liz needs three half empty bottles of the same bleach I don't know.

In other Phil related oddness, a chance remark I made on FB (when replying to a friend's comment on her child's homework) has found me another CMT sufferer in Swindon.

Building work hopefully finishes up today. The family and I want our downstairs back, although we are going to have to wait it out another couple of weeks before normality.

Right, I'm off the grid for the next 36 hours. See you all Saturday night if I don't catch you in Brum before.

I too am about to step off the grid. I am chancing my arm that my latest bout of lurgy (the regularity of which is becoming a worry) will lift by Sat so off to Brum. Will I be alright or will I mostly be lying on a hotel bed? The tension never begins.

A bit of a busy weekend around the house this weekend - some work on the garden to get winter plants in and the last of the summer plants out, quite a bit of clearing out yesterday and today which always seems to take longer than it warrants for the end results. The voyage to the attic can wait until tomorrow evening though, I am too tired to attempt that today. i have successfully established several more piles of TF's, TF comic trades and various other things to go to charity shops or other good homes in due course.
I did get a chance to take a walk out this morning though - just me and the squirrels most of the time which was rather nice. The temperature has definitely been plummeting all day though. Time to put the heating on, make a nice hot muh of coffee and settle down with some radio or a good book methinks.
