There is an utterly charming life-affirming picture doing the rounds right now. Type 'otter holding baby' into Google Images (safe for work). It's the first picture. It brings joy. Lovely. And while, you're at it, type in 'do a barrel roll'. Welcome back, Dinogrrl. Martin

Unusually slow work day today. This did not make me happy. It's not an office to be trapped in.

Ah... the working week ends, and I have enough flexi-time accumulated to knock off at quarter to four and wander up to the cinema to catch an early cinema performance, before coming home to watch last weeks QI over an early supper.
Considering that I managed to leave the office feeling like I was ahead of the curve today the week hasn't ending badly really.

Some cuntrag malware programmer got a googleredirect on my websites. Mr Marshall spotted it.
Managed to fix everything save Weird Without End. All the files are there but I cannot access them. Probably going to have to delete it all and start again.
FFFFUCK!!

Update:
No I didn't. It all went to pan shite and I was up till half five this morning. Having to restart everything from scratch. Star-dub sorted, CT-Alpha at bare bones, Pixel-cel a shell of site and Weird Without End which was fixed, ended up having to be gutted because it's a sub-dir of the main Pixel-Cel site which was buggered.
ARGH!!!!!!

The insomnia has broken so proper sleep came. Usually I would be annoyed to find myself at almost 11am on a Saturday having done nothing but kip but it's for the best.

*Karl emerges from a cloud of dust and loft insulation* I only went up there to get down the box full of Zoids to sort through. Wasn't expecting to find that much discarded TF and Brave packaging up there as well. Ah well, that is what the cardboard and plastic recycling bin is for....
Opened the box of Zoids and the first thing I saw was a Takara Seismosaurus. I looked under the bed at the boxed Hasbro Seismo sitting there... Something strange has happened, now there are two Seismosaurii. Not sure quite what to do with the Hasbro one now. The things you find that you forgot you had...

The Hasbro Seismosaurus might get you a penny or 3.

Today was another cinema day. One good one, two duds, but with Nandos or the pub spaced out between showings it was a decent day out overall.

Plans to blitz the Chrimbo shopping in one mighty session were nixed by the weather which was rather warm, sunny and pleasant. A summer's day, really, so I thought my time would be better spent going for a nice long walk instead along the Union Canal and up through Colinton Dell. I doubt we'll have many more days like that on a day off before Winter hits properly so it seemed a better way to spend an afternoon. Naturally, I ensured the ducks were fed.

I have formed a plan to get my Christmas shopping finished next Sunday, probably in a single fell swoop which will involve a fair bit of shuttling about but hopefully will get it all out of the way at once.
Just been looking at the post-purge pile which is accumulating in my spare room.... I think some of next Saturday will involve hauling that lot to the Shelter shop in stages. Might be adding a little bit more to the pile over the course of the week as well...
