clean bowled by a couple of kids on scooters outside of Morrissons today. Stopped suddenly to avoid them and went down in a big pile. Four members of staff appear to assist me.

Gas & Electric Bill turned up. I'm £126 in credit.
Predicted usage over the next year (including all charges):
£353.63 electricity £729.91 gas
£1083.54 total
My current direct debit £79 pm (£948 per year) Their proposed new direct debit £148 pm (1776 per year)
Yeah right.
I make that number, what *THEY* have quoted me (effectively) £91 pm over the next year. *THAT* is what I am willing to pay.
And they say no? ? ?
F*** off! Take us off the payment plan, we'll manage our own bills thank you.

Set out to do my Christmas shopping this morning. By midday I had done almost all of the present shopping, apart from my sisters Christmas present (to be ordered from Amazon tomorrow in phase two) and my mothers birthday present (there was a Queue of Doom in Marks and Spencer this morning that was too much hassle to stand in for a pair of gloves so I shall get that early doors tomorrow instead). By the time I came away at lunchtime it was already beginning to heave more than usual as the Christmas Madness descends on people.
I have spent the rest of the day inside, sheltering from the torrential rain and working on Clear Out Phase Four (or whatever I am on). A load of clothes I don't wear have gone, my current pile of DWM's has been earmarked for disposal along with Titan UK Vol 1 which I no longer feel I have space to retain. I need to start hauling all this stuff down to the Shelter shop and whatnot fairly soon because it is starting to pile up in the spare room. Will be nice to reclaim the space once it has all gone.

Yeah I've been photographing stuff for this fortnight's round of free listings on eBay. Hoping for a decent payday!

The wee small hours of Wednesday saw some quite violent bowel trouble for myself. Not felt great all week. Up at five this morning doing the same again. Was supposed to be at a wedding but in no state. Weekend not a winner.

That is the last of the Christmas shopping done now that my sisters present has been ordered from Amazon. I am now planning to do everything I can to avoid the shops in the next few weeks as I fully expect that the madness can only increase.
I spent some of the rest of this afternoon carrying on with the Great Clearout. I have added a load of suit jackets I am unlikely to ever wear again to the pile of things to go out as well as slimming down my pile of T-shirts (I don't need eighteen T-shirts, of which at least six I never, ever wear...). I've also been reorganising the things I am keeping - a plastic four drawer unit in my wardrobe has absorbed a lot of things that were in boxes under the spare room bed, and allowed me to dispense with one box entirely. I then spent and hour taking DVDs out of cases for storage in a second CD Box so that I could dispose of the cases and reduce the footprint - freeing up an entire shelf.
I even managed to find time for a walk in the woods this afternoon where I encountered a very startled deer. Considering how close to paths well-travelled by dog-walkers we were I didn't expect to see him there, and I'm not sure which of us was more surprised.
All in all though, a very productive weekend I think. Now all I have to do is spend next week hauling a lot of this stuff to the local Shelter shop.
