Yup its mine.
Oh well I can afford it. Thats to say I sold lots of Transformers and got about that much money. I had planned to spend it on something useful, but oh well.

Let's just hope you can stay away from TF buying for a wee while. And I do hope you don't suffer from buyer's remorse when it arrives.

Woo! Congrats!
And here's me, pining for a new Sky-Byte. Seems...trivial now.

I'm currently trying to convince myself Ive bought 6 toys at £45 a piece which actually doesnt help, as I don't think Ive bought 6 toys for more than £45 in the last 20 years. Also I got the gift set which makes it harder to pretend its not one toy.
I got the KO last year and aside from breaking the first time i touched it I think is great fun. Plan to use the arms to make an autobot counterpart if I ever get the other two rescue force members.
Sky-Byte trivial! Never... in fact I dont own Sky-Byte. Hmmm?... No must not spend money I dont have. This happens everytime I clear my overdraft.

250 squid? I won't say what I got my loose set for 2-3 years ago but it was a mite less than that from some dude in China. There's a bit of staining on a couple of the stickers and a stress line or two but nothing significant. Still, the giftset is quite a catch and I've seen it go for more.

It is quite possibly the best Transformer combiner

It is nice and I would like one but lack the cash. I have a couple of the Euro Rescue Force blokes though.

That's a lot of cash for one toy, but it is a rather nice toy. One of the best of the combiner teams to come out of the original line, as Phil says. The combined form is quite impressive and the individual members aren't too shabby either.
Liokaiser is one of the few Transformers toys I still have a niggling wish I owned, but the budget doesn't allow for it.
(Don't worry, I've had the same kind of reaction once or twice myself. My first 1/48th scale "Valkyrie", along with the Super/Strike parts came to about £200 after shipping et al. I was a bit "heart in mouth" when I first bought it, but it was worth the investment, I'm sure you'll find Liokaiser much the same.)

Blimey, if I did that I would sooooo get divorced! I could spend LOADS on toys though!
EDIT: Can I just say, I LOVE the title to this thread!

Hey Bog, was that off Shopping Mall Japan? I was bidding on a Liokaiser box set that ended at 50 billion yen or something yesterday, was it you?

Post by Bogatan on Jan 11, 2008 15:44:38 GMT
Yeah, thats the one. Its more than I wanted to pay but only buy about £30-50, but the contents looked in perfect condition. Where you bidding through SMJ or were you my rival bidder who went to 50,000?
The more time that passes the happier I am at the purchase. Worse case I can resell it for about the same as I paid.

I was bidding through SMJ, but I thought £60 was plenty for it, let alone £250!
You'll have to stick up a few pics on here man, it looked in great condition.

I started hoping I might be able to pick them up fairly cheaply but Ive been looking at a couple of Liokaisers and the individual figures for a couple of months and Ive seen a couple of boxed single figures go for near enough £60 so I had to raise my estimates a little. It was this pic that convinced me to spend the money while I could afford it. Andy

It's such a tasty looking set, plus I'm a sucker for any kind of connecting things, such as the Breastforce. And the fact that they too combine into a great big robot is just awesome.

ebay currently has a bizarre KO version which in place of one of the jets has a figure that looks like a mini version of Doubledealer.

That's the World's Smallest scale version, innit? Been meaning to get one of those for a while.
Got to love the layout of the old-style giftsets.

It's unlikely that you'd get another one in that good condition for much less. I spent quite a bit on Metrotitan last year, and even more on Star Saber the year before, but don't regret it as they are both so funky.

No worries, Nick. I can't really afford Victory Leo at the minute with saving for BotCon. I might find one there anyhow, but thank you for looking. I might look through the stuff I have and clear some out on eBay to see if I can rustle up a few more quid. The euro is pretty strong against the dollar at the moment so it would be better to get my dosh changed earlier rather than later.
