Seibertron's gallery has some quality pics, sadly the next page link on any of the galleries isn't working.
Marvel TFs Hulk looks great!

I had heard that the new Marvel crossover toys were good, but I was pleasantly surprised at the chunky goodness of the Hulk 'robot' mode.

I had a feeling this would happen after Hasbro got the Marvel Heroes contract. As documented here there are listings for new SWTFs and another line simply called "Marvel Transformers Crossovers": MARVEL TRANSFORMERS CROSSOVERS Wave 1 - June 2008 Wave 2 - August 2008 SW TRANSFORMERS ASSORTMENT WAVE 1 ‘08 - January 2008 Star Wars Transformers Obi-Wan / Jedi Starfighter Star Wars Transformers Clone Pilot / Clone Gunship SW TRANSFORMERS ASSORTMENT WAVE 2 ‘08 - March 2008 Whether this will mean Captain America in a transforming Quinjet, Captain America AS a transforming Quinjet, simply another crack at Megamorphs or something else remains to be seen. It's also unclear if these are the same as the TF-themed Marvel Legends spotted a while ago. -Nick

I shall cross my fingers for a transforming Hellcow or ROM.

Not liking the Marvel-formers yet much. Venom reminds me of Barricade, Spiderman reminds me of Sideways, Wolverine reminds me of one of the Allspark Power figures. ===HERO

Though I loathe most of the SWTFs, the new Tie-fighter looks to be a decent figure. If only they'd substitute the Stormtrooper component for a Starscream head. Edit: Spotted on the All Spark RSS feed.

I saw them in John Lewis the other day. They do indeed look like crappy Poundland toys. The price-point is...£10.

I saw the title of this thread, and thought it was about Marvel exclusive TFs, like Straxus, Jhiaxus, and Flame. >_<
So not a fan of the subpar crossover lines, like Marvel and Star Wars TF.

I thought the Marvel line was OK, but suffered from a daft price-point. Too high for impulse purchases and awkwardly between deluxe and voyager price-points/sizes.
SWTF's ain't my cup of tea but it's been running for several years now, so must be doing something right. Is it the longest running Transformers line now?

Depends on how you define "running." They've been recyclong and reusing the exact same toys with the exact same decoes for a few years now, rarely ever adding anything even remotely new to it (Mostly just reinventing the packaging every so often). It's gotten a little bit of new life recently with the scout sized figures though. But that's about it.
I don't have a problem with the concepts of these (Other than it's stupid to think Obiwon or Captain America would be conceited and self absorbed enough to make giant robots of themselves). It's the execution that leaves me cold. I know it's not the Takara design team designing the engineering, but they could at least follow in their footsteps and use some of the more tried and true engineering methods they pioneered.

By "running" I mean the length of time new product has been packaged and produced for sale at retail. It's been going since, er, anyone know?

2006, according to TFU.info. That's when the first wave of figures is dated. 6 years. A pretty good run and, given the small number of figures released and the frequency of reissues, a relatively easy task for collectors. -Nick

While they always had product on the shelves in that length of time, that yes, technically it's been running for a long time. But when they only put out actually *new* product once every couple years, and the rest of it is constantly repackaging the exact same figures, I'd personally consider the concept of running as pretence.

I see your point. Perhaps a better way for me to say it is that I think it's the longest running TF toyline with continued presence on shelves.

Aside from G1 which never got a name change from start to finish, agreed.
