Fingers still sore today, but Jonathan slept through after I took him a hot lemon drink in.

Woke up at 02:45, 04:20 and 05:45 - with varying amounts of sleep in between. Not sure whether to blame rich food at my team Christmas lunch at work, my state of mind earlier this week, or the comic adaptation of H.P Lovecraft's "Shadow over Innsmouth" that I was reading yesterday evening, but something left a legacy of some very disturbed dreams and some real issues getting back to sleep.
Ah well - my last day of work for this week has been completed. Don't have to go back into the office until early January. I am looking forward to the break.
Spending this evening with some of my pre-christmas rituals - watched the Christmas episode of Macross and will listen to another episode of my standard pre-christmas Doctor Who audio drama this evening (one episode a night is prescribed, ending on Christmas Eve itself).
For that matter I still have some of the nice Welsh Whiskey that was my Christmas present last year left. (Took me until the late summer to actually be able to bring it back home and open it for various reasons). Might pour myself a small measure of that to be going on with.

Came up the stairs on my hands and knees when I got home. So knackered. Shop was bedlam. Two days to go.

Completely run down. Luckily was able to take some TOIL and finish work early (ish, I need to keep my mobile on until end of day in case of emergencies). Through to folks later but back on Sunday afternoon as need to work on Monday.

Got up this morning feeling like I hadn't been to bed. Toys'r'us was quiet(er) in the morning but utterly insane from about noon onward. The shop looked like the aftermath of an earthquake at a car boot sale when I left. Empty shelves, stuff lying on the floor, trolley after trolley piled high with returned/abandoned items... the night shift will probably have nervous breakdowns and be found hiding in the storage bin where we keep the bean bag chairs, hugging their knees and mumbling. I'm tempted to join them.
One day to go.

It's over. I feared the worst early on when one woman had a go at me after I had damn near killed myself getting her down a R/C fire engine, literally because I looked at her the wrong way. The rest of the day was fine, though. No drama, just chaos. It calmed down around 4 and never really picked up again.
Two days off, then everyone who came in at Christmas comes back- only now they're angry because the stuff they bought doesn't work. 'tis the season.

Nephew and Niece are staying over, making noises, Dad's having a strop over something (not unusual really) so mum's upset again...ah Christmas, you are fun!

Popped through to see Parentals and back here early afternoon as I need to work tomorrow.
Not at all coping well with the festive season and I just want it to end. Hate it.

Far too much food today. We had a 4 bird roast thing instead of the traditional foul. What about everyone else?

I have a full week at work (if only people would leave me alone and respect my right to ignore the festive season) to occupy me coming up (shedloads to get done and little time) and there are 3 films I want to catch at the cinema so that's evenings sorted.

Kids have had a great day today, ate lots of course
I got a digital camera (wasn't expecting anything big like that since i got a laptop for my birthday earlier in the week) so that was cool, along with some other little bits, including the Green Lantern movie (I enjoyed it). Had fun teasing my brother's partner all day even whilst we were making the dinner today lol
